2023 Israel-Palestine Armed Conflict

According to Telegram, the intended target was former IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi:
The Shin Bet foiled an attempt by Hezbollah to assassinate a former senior Israeli security official using an explosive device, the security agency announces.

The attack was intended to have been carried out in the coming days, according to the Shin Bet.

The agency says that the Hezbollah network behind the attempted attack was also responsible for a bombing in Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park last year.

The Shin Bet says it uncovered a Claymore-type explosive device, known to be in use by Hezbollah, which was intended to have been used to target the former official.

The bomb has a remote detonation system, including a camera and a cellular connection, which would have allowed Hezbollah to activate it from Lebanon.

The former official, who is not named, was notified by the Shin Bet of the incident.

Further details are not immediately permitted for publication.

The Shin Bet says that the bomb was identical to one that exploded in Yarkon Park on September 15, 2023, in an attempted attack that caused no injuries.

That bomb, also activated by Hezbollah, was intended to harm another senior Israeli official, according to the Shin Bet.

The agency says the same Hezbollah network was behind both incidents. It adds that the network was being tracked for a lengthy period.

Over 1,200 wounded across Lebanon (including the Iranian ambassador) as pagers used by Hezbollah blew up simultaneously. Hospitals in Lebanon can't cope with the flood of wounded terrorists and are asking for blood donations. There are reports of similar explosions in Syria as well.

how could this have been done? obviously some kind of attack, but was it a compromised supply? some kind of jewish anti-pager technology? this is a really interesting attack vector.

NYTimes reports there have been reported explosions and deaths in Syria:
Electronic pager devices also exploded in Syria, according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency and to Saberin News, an outlet affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards. Saberin reported that seven people were killed in Syria from the blast targeting their devices in the Seyedah Zeinab neighborhood, a Shia stronghold in Damascus.

Stuxnet destroyed Iranian nuclear centrifuges just by making them spin out of control. No explosives, no foreign materials at all, just physically destroying valuable property by making it destroy themselves. I think that they must have just made the pager batteries explode, possibly just normal pagers (does anyone other than terrorists, drug dealers, and doctors use pagers anymore?).

ETA: apparently pagers run on AAA batteries so they probably didn't just send a signal that blew up whichever pagers happened to be targeted. These were probably Mossad devices packed with explosives, or maybe special pagers that were sold on the fact that they used lithium batteries instead of clunky, outdated zinc batteries and would only need to be charged once a year

lmao. I betcha what happened was some mossad guy sent a code which caused the battery to explode. Also glad to see Israel is back on the crazy train 😂

Do you think israel will still be able to pull the holocaust card on people if they do a nakba 2.0 in the modern age of social media
I want to just add something. Many Israelis id say 99.7% of them want to have peace. Zionism simply is the idea that Jews should have their own homeland where they make their own decisions. How big or what type of government is secondary and simply a matter of politics. This is why Israelis are willing to give up land for peace, because ultimately what matters is getting some land where Jews can make their own decisions, both day to day and security without having to rely on the good graces of people. This site for example is easy proof that shows that many people don't like Jews. Many Israelis/Jews want to return to a day when they could travel to Iran or across the region like any other country. It sadly are the non Jews that think Zionism is this conquest ideology, when in fact it's simply the belief that Jews should have their own homeland, like they did in the past. We don't want to live like the Kurds, simply we want to make our own destiny.

By the way a simple way for Israelis not to fuck with you, is for you not to fuck with them. If Iran came out and said "Israel is fine, but we recognize both the existence of Israel and Palestine but let's work towards a better Palestinian state through diplomacy" Israel would stop all the bullshit.

The Arabs in Israel are a mixed bag, Israeli never trust them, however if they all decide to become patriots for the state then people will feel better. It is getting better for them, especially after 10/7 when the Palestinians in Gaza proved that if there is no Israel, the Arab Israelis will be killed. The long game is for Israel to not have to worry about external conflicts. Jihadism is fucking stupid and intelligent Arabs know this. They also realize that Israel has all the smarts of Europe/the USA/the West with non of the bullshit. Israel also has the most professional army in the region, something which is really important, especially when you realize that Arabs/Muslims hate each other more than they hate the Jews.

They might want to talk a big game about it but remember Israel is a democracy with a working legal system, a legal system which hates ben gavir. Don't be surprised if Ben Gavier gets sued out of office or realistically when the war ends the Bibi government will collapse and they will lose influence

The only people who want to deport people are Arabs and the Irish. If you're an Arab and not a retard you have nothing to worry about.
Another thing to add, most iranians arent actually super pro government in favour of the islamic republic. If you were unaware there were several uprisigns like in 2022 and 2008 and the government has destroyed many peoples faith in islam including myself. I think most iranians that arent directly connected to the government will not give a rats ass about what happens in israel/palestine. I personally think both sides made several bad descions that led to the current predicament of palestianians. The main thing I dont like about israel the trajectory its going, religious nationalism is gaining more power in israel, I think israelis are naive about how dangerous mixing religion and politics is.

Most Israelis know this, and that is why they say they don't hate the Iranian people, just the IRGC and the current government of Iran.

Many Israelis (more than 1/2 to 3/4) would 100000% agree with this statement

I think israelis are naive about how dangerous mixing religion and politics is.
Most don't want to mix it. But some do. I personally agree that those who want to mix it are very naive.

Batteries don't explode. They burn like the fires of hell with flames that cannot be quenched by mortal man, but they don't explode. There was no burning here, they just went bang.
