Honestly, the only thing that surprises me about DSP is that he has people willing to give him money. Most. if not all. big streamers don't really care about their fans and are on it just for the money. So DSP isn't unique in that sense. But there are still much better options. Cute women, funny people, people playing gimmicky characters, pro players, and even Vtubers at least have a nice 3D model to look at.

Yet, somehow Phil will claim "This is a win" against the detractors or some made other bullshit he'll do to cope with how shit his life actually is, honestly. If you look at every aspect of his life, he has failed at everything.

1. The lack of true fans means that the few guys who tip him will get more attention than just pouring their paychecks on a bigger, more popular streamer who likely has bigger whales than them. Some of the biggest Phil whales actually managed to control him to an extend, which I assume made them feel powerful.

2. The hatedom. Unless the lolcow is truly vile, there will always be people who support them out of a perverse desire to stick it to the haters. They want to "felt" people they perceive as bullies without actually getting in a confrontation with them.

3. Some people genuinely believe that Phil is their role model. His talk about how he does everything correct and others fuck him over constantly is very appealing to people who have the same outlook on life, lack of self-reflection and inability to change.

4. LARPers. They don't really like Phil and try to troll him. Some of them go too far and actually tip him. Pretty stupid. But also pretty rare nowadays.

5. And finally, we have the real outcasts. People who are disabled, undiagnosed or just plain weird.

If Phil did a DSP-con, you'd have to make sure to accommodate a lot of disabilities. Anybody who unironically likes him has a screw loose. I don't think there's been a fan that's been uncovered who was normal.

I forget the details but there was a guy once who tipped to him all the time, and he got upset that DSP kept begging when there was a tsunami in Indonesia or something so he told Phil off and stopped watching him. These sudden moments of clarity causing the pignosis to break are usually pretty amusing. Yup , there are definitely an infinite amount of better things you could be doing with your money. Tossing it into a wishing well would be better.

This is coming back slowly. The bravado of 'I'm the king' is starting to wear thin if you listen closely. The reality of the documentary bubble burst is slowly setting in.
