Sony hate thread

On the "Horizon" Series: I do not want to play the next game. I want to play the game that releases at the same time as the next game. Horizon: Zero Dawn released with LOZ:BOTW. Horizon: Forbidden West released with Elden Ring. EVERY GAME IN THIS SERIES OF GAMES UNTIL NOW HAS RELEASED ALONGSIDE THE GAME OF THE YEAR!
Makes you wonder which game is going to cuck Horizon 3.

Supposedly the first Uncharted game is getting a remake for PC and PS5. I'm hoping it won't be developed by Naughty Dog since I don't want Neil Cuckmann to turn Elena into an ugly girlboss lesbian with no tits who constantly emasculates Nate and Sully.

This is where we are at with Sony, high-definition re-makes of high-definition remasters of high-definition originals. The original Uncharted Trilogy is perfect as is... I don't need Kneel CuckJuden re-writing history because of "problematic white male characters".

And NOBODY wants a "remaster" of Horizon. Real fans of Sony legacy consoles have been begging for upscaled ports of Resistance, Killzone, Infamous, Jak and Daxter, etc for years., hell even backward compatibility in the same vein as what is offered on the Xbox One X and Series X Consoles (built-in upscaling with frame rate boosts).

the piss better makes miracles so sony can explain why a 800 dollars machines upscales shit from...864p fucking lmao

They still haven't even consistently reached the native resolutions that they promised us in 2005. Fucking shameful. I will always maintain that some of the biggest snake oil salesmen are in the video game industry.

I literally just want a native PC port of the original Uncharted trilogy. Same for the Infamous games.
And I agree, Neil Cuckmann literally pushed out Amy Hennig, a very talented woman, to make the game "more appealing" to women. And Hennig seems like a very nice old lady.

You know, I realised that Concord failed for the same reasons Horizon is overshadowed: They took no risks without realising that it is the riskiest thing there is. Nothing is riskier than the completely safe. Aloy is average looking, making her unmemorable to appease fat, ugly women and the gameplay has no distinct mechanics or features to truly set it apart and the same could be said about Concord. By trying to offend no one, they were forgotten by everyone.

So it’ll launch on the same day as Splatoon 4, got it.
Lol, I hope so. I would love the chimp-out of the devs. "BUT BUT BUT THE GRAPHICS! PS5PRO!! NOSE HAIR RENDERING!!!" While I used to think that Microsoft would drop out of the industry first, I am not sure now. Pay attention to Sony. If their woke games fail and they close several studios, Microsoft might wait Sony out.

You can make a game series with each one of mechanics in TOTK alone. Very cool. Do not feel too guilty for it not clicking for you but it is not right to ignore that work was put into making something impressive. In my opinion, the fact that they used the BOTW map is also a hurdle as you are not free to design the enviroment. And the expectations!!! It had to be what Majora 's Mask was to Ocarina of Time but for BOTW. Big shoes to fill times a thousand. Still, it does not justify the price completely but it captured the feeling of combining classic Zelda and BOTW Zelda rather well. I think we can agree though, it was far better than most companies would have settled for even at that price.
I think it was a combination of underestimating what the physics would involve at the start and that somebody REALLY fucking liked Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts. The game got pushed back multiple times since what they expected to be a "quick project" due to reusing assets and map suddenly bloated a lot due to the gameplay innovations they wanted to add, and they didn't want to compromise on them nor release them half baked. You are probably right that at that point, sticking with the base map may have caused more harm than good since it stops you from making stuff more optimized for the physics engine (less hills, more flat surfaces, tricks like that to stress the geometry less). They did something impressive, I just think it could get better use in a different game.
At least she'd be white, so that's a little better than Soyny's current trash.
You acting like if race swapping was not in the menu, she'll be a sassy sheeboon/latinx or maybe tranny! And Drake has zipper tits!

Silly billy, she can't be a nice old lady when she doesn't have the correct thoughts!

Horizon's whole selling points is exactly the same as Tsushima, it's a ubisoft game that is competently made. It was killed by shit protagonist and setting at that point (as well as coming out at the worst time possible twice). But I'm sure if no Elden Ring or Zelda were to be seen, it would have done fineish. I got it as a present and played a bit. Best I can say is that the water looks fantastic. As for the rest... I wanted to punch Alloy, no character clicked with me outside of the father figure one. The dinosaurs were cool, but not particularly fun to fight and exploring the map is meh.

As for God of War 2018, of course it wasn't half as fun as the original trilogy since it outright abandoned it's genre to be a movie game. I did enjoy my time with it (I killed all of the valkyries on hard) but there was very little spectacle from what I remember in OG God of war. Barely any bosses worth mentioning. Ragnarok I outright did not bother once I noticed the niggering and them trying to sell me that Freya deserved anything else that wasn't getting brutally executed.

Inspired feels more accurate than liked. And I am glad they did not rest on their laurels even though they very much could get away with it due to TOTK being a sequel to BOTW. They tried many new things and polished them to mirror shine. As for the map, it is both a flaw and a strength. It was not always easy to imagine new that could drive in the terrain but that also breeds creativity. Maybe they will do more with such mechanics some other time but for now, you cannot call them lazy after pulling that off. Honestly, Sony should have been credited for the success too. They closed Japan Studio and the talent went to Monolith Soft which assisted on the game. The Zelda Team, Monolith Soft and Japan Studio was a rare alignment of stars. Sony shot themselves on the foot by sending their talent to Nintendo.

Far from Lazy, and I mean, we see it with Fromsoft as well, reusing assets is not a sin or crime, it lets you make things faster and deliver quicker. Also gives you time to put effort in other aspects of the game that you would not have the resources for if you were doing everything from scratch.

After listening to Mark try to convince me that two similar images are different I remembered the next evolution of sound he promised everybody 4 years ago that never happened.

Its like Snoys have amnesia. They didn't even get to send Mark ear pics for his spank bank collection and now we are talking about eyes and how for 200-300 dollars more he will show you an additional pixel in the background.

That is the thing. When it is a company they dislike, asset flips are acts of slothful laziness. When it is a company they like, asset flips are an ingenious way to save time. Many simply do not notice the double standard or at least pretend not to.

Fair, though that shit is so entrenched everywhere I try to stop getting angry at it. At the end of the day, the issue is not asset flipping, it's what you release thanks to that asset flipping. FIFA is a very lazy asset flip for example and Overwatch activelly made it's game worse, though one could argue it's not an asset flip as much as a 1.0001 version of the original. Can't really think of other examples at the moment... I mean, Ubisoft I would imagine would reuse animations in their slop, but doesn't seem like they reuse much more than that just to think a bit.

On the other side like the Zelda and Elden Ring already mentioned. Mario Galaxy, I haven't played either (yes, I'm a poser) but Galaxy 2 is basically an asset flip of 1 and it's loved to pieces.
