It's probably more likely he was trying to pretend he was a girl in the video.

This is 100% the case. In the clip from 12stockwelljoanne12, the "that's me" text appears as the woman with the white beanie comes into view. (41:57 in the original video). It's meant to be "Joanne Tang" identifying herself as that woman. He presumably chose her because she looks vaguely similar to the other girl whose photos/videos he used for the Joanne persona (Filipino looking, long hair), and because Joanne canonically lives in South London.

The walkscape video is a total red herring.

So who’s the girl being filmed walking down the sidewalk towards the camera during the first few seconds? Do we know if this could footage SSB9 shot himself, or did he pull it from another source?

I'm assuming it was from somewhere else. I reverse image searched it extensively with Google Lens and Yandex (Yandex is much better) with no luck and also searched relevant keywords and hashtags on tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube. Things like #bookonheadchallenge etc.

If you turn up the volume you can hear her say walking with a book on your head is a good exercise for posture, etc. It seems clear it's just a video he pulled from another site, so even if we did find it, I'm not sure it would provide much lead beyond that, but can still keep looking.

Little update on the blind hunt for the burgundy uniform.

Milton Keynes really likes blue and the only two candidates were Shenley Brook End School (Go Badgers!) that uses more of a reddish maroon and Walton High. This last one does use burgundy and was my main candidate until it led me down the rabbit hole of how common the maroon-burgundy spectrum is in Kent.

Burgundy seems a lot more common in primary schools while secondaries and academies seem to prefer blue. Perhaps this older uniform was actually his, nothing conclusive.

I tried to investigate the PhD too. Pharmacognosy would be the official name of what BrazilianAnon claims SSB9's PhD to be and the only program that specifically covers that is the Pharmacy Faculty at Masaryk University over in the Czech Republic. It is fair to assume SSB9's PhD, if he truly has one, is in Pharmacy and he simply chose to specialize in pharmacognosy. This widens the net, but if he actually bothered to get a PhD that means he had to conduct investigations and at least some people would know who he is, even if just as a name credited in a paper. OFC, SSB9 could've gone the way of the Bog twins and simply grinded until he barely passed his dissertation, maybe he has an honorary doctorate, maybe this is one big game of telephone lost in translation and he never had one to begin with.

I don't really think that sounds like the same voice, so I was more curious what the number was to see if that was actually the voicemail on that number and then look into who the number is connected to. No plans of trying to interact with him--in my naivete I didn't even really think of a scenario where he'd pick up because I assumed it was fake. Was just curious about the voice mail. My bad--I can see it's a dumb idea, so thanks for correcting.

I just don't buy the voicemail thing because there are people just actively generating content off this with blatantly fake stuff. A YouTuber uploaded a fake interview with SSB9 this week and it already has half a million views.
