Devil May Cry to get an animated series from creator of Castlevania Netflix series - Bootleg Multiverse

Devil May Cry and Tomb Raider Netflix anime-esque shows are still failures, even before their upcoming launches

Adi Shankar fascinates me. I feel like there is a real earnest desire to make something cool, but the quality of the work I've seen so far in Castlevania is somewhat janky. A real series of highs and lows.

I love the animation and fights, but there is something of an overabundance of edge at times. I finished nocturne and I actually liked it, but there were plenty of missteps.

I really want to watch every thing he's worked on when I get the chance and evaluate it.
 
Ya know, compared to the boring ass slog that was the 1st DMC anime, this one actually seems way more lively and energetic.

Honestly, I kinda miss that type of 90s and early 2000s edge. So, Im kinda down for that stuff again, like it feels way more earnest than people who do it "ironically"

I think it's actually pretty fitting to have him play a younger Dante. A nice full circle moment. I don't know if Reuben is actually blacklisted but I think this is a correct choice.

Agreed. I do think he has genuine passion to make something interesting. Who else would write in an unironic rayman hits rock bottom/redemption storyline?




(I have no idea if the ubisoft blood dragon show is any good. I should start a watch)

2nd. I said design always gave this vibe, like if suddenly the DMC creators came out and said "hes bi" when his character was 1st intoduced, would you be surprised by it?

Like, its same shit as when you had Big Boss doing vaguely gay shit with Miller (unless ya gonna tell me em wrestling naked in a sauna is some manly ass shit)

Peace Walker, hell the whole MGS series has vague (and not so) hints, fuck Volgin and Vamp alone are walking examples of that.

Reuben might be the longest running English actor Capcom has had. Although Daniel as Vergil would have the same length of time too.

JYB voicing Dante just feels weird. Looks like they're borrowing from the DMC3 prequel manga with the rabbit demon.

I really like Devil May Cry so I'm leaning towards :optimistic: about it, seeing the trailers. I haven't actually watched the Castlevania one, but heard the faggotry they did with Alucard.

idk kiwis, this one fills me with dread from that fact alone. (:_(

It’s worse than you probably heard about. The only saving grace is, it’s not canon.
They’re also ruining Tomb Raider.

I don’t know if the DMC one is canon or not. They don’t have the best track record, but it doesn’t hurt to pirate stream it and see for yourself when it drops.
