Weird gender stuff has been a long-standing tradition in Japanese media. Which makes it very annoying that western troons are trying to appropriate it. Even if it has heavy themes of transgenderism (it doesn't, but for the sake of argument, let's say it does) Rad would still be completely misinterpreting it because the views and contexts would still be very different from modern troonism. The official Yume Nikki light novel that was approved by Kikiyama and her oversight outright gave clear story reasons for the symbolism. If she gave the okay with Yume Nikki novel saying the story about Madotsuki becoming shut in because she was recovering from having a miscarriage. I'll take that as canon over Nitro Rad, pushing the tranny theory. Even the official 3D game is far less subtle with womb symbolism than the original.

It just says the idea was by Kikiyama, not that he gave any oversight or help. And even then, Kikiyama could still just be going with it, and approving the use of his work like he did the 3D game. I feel like the fans would have made a bigger deal out of it being a confirmed thing, with Kikiyama 's seal of approval.
