Communities share the blame for why games "cater to casuals" or them dying out before they could thrive. Fighting games are a perfect example. You buy a childhood game that you likely haven't played in years, only to face off with somebody that just demolishes you back and forth for fun. Now, before you say: you don't HAVE to play online. Okay, never mind that fighting games are best played WITH people. Then, they wonder why many people wouldn't want to buy the game to potentially be part of their community.
Remember how these dorks bitched and moaned because their "community" doesn't grow?
Well, after the launch of the MvC collection speds like Justin Wong have been hoarding the leaderboards and bodying every person playing the game online. Not surprising, people are refunding the game on Steam and flat out stopped playing on consoles.
These retards don't learn, do they?
