Not so much out of any love of the party, but just a hatred at seeing so much incompetence
"My kids sure are fuck ups, someone should have done something about this"
Fact checkers now claiming the Carville thing was a total fabrication.
It makes sense to be made up. As neat as it is to think Carville would be calling people faggots and stupid bitches. No one that was a Democrat in the 1980s was really into acting like that.

Too much to quote, trying to keep it brief:

@AnitaSarsleezian it's like GenZ/Alpha watched Cindy Lauper and decided we all dressed like that the entire decade. I don't remember owning anything neon. Ever.

I look forward to Trump's larp as a fry cook, followed by Kamala's totally authentic visit to McDonalds where she has to ask for help to navigate the menu. "What is a McFlurry?"

I agree that derangement syndrome affects both sides, but I see a little less of it on the conservative side. Re: mega churches mentioned upthread- time to mention Megan Basham's Shepherds for Sale again. Lots of leftist money going into these huge churches and organizations to move Christianity to the left, and it's working.

Bill Clinton: the man has charisma off the charts, especially when you meet him in person. He also has nice hair (or did, still doesn't look bad). I imagine Trump has that same charisma, but his hair has always been questionable. I remember that SNL skit calling it the onion loaf and thought that was a perfect description.

The charisma thing is interesting--even looking back at previous presidents during the TV age we can see who has it in spades, who has a little, and a couple who don't have any. Same with entertainers. Now that everyone famous is easily accessible, we can see who turns it on when they're on the job and off when they're doing boring things like interviews and other publicity things. Harrison Ford has always seemed like a charisma black hole off screen to me, same with Brie Larson. Kamala's extreme lack of it is really hurting her. If she was at Clinton or Obama levels, even with her lack of policy and carefully curated appearances, she would be doing better than she is.

Trump is convinced Iran is trying to kill him after a briefing by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Guy's pissed now
So he's back to trusting the word of people that run the IC, which has been trying to kill or imprison him for the last 8 years, because they have the title "Director."

Fucking boomer.

What are the chances the glowies are going to wack Trump, blame Iran and use that to justify a war with them?
I’ll perhaps go against the grain and suggest that the intelligence Trump is receiving is actually genuine… to an extent. As in, I think there’s a good chance that Iran is the one responsible for setting the plots into motion and handling some of the logistics. What about the fact that these plots all glowed like the sun you may ask?

That’s where I think it’s ‘to an extent’. I think the reports and actions of foreign actors could be legitimate, Iran does have legitimate reasons to want Trump dead after all… but I think the glowie involvement was mostly in the fact that they didn’t stop any of the shit that they obviously should’ve seen coming. There’s also the possibility that some of Iran’s or other countries operatives assisting these plans are in actuality plants from a three letter institution, of course, but I actually don’t think the idea itself is too ridiculous, if somewhat disingenuous about the reality of the situation.

100% false. Carville is exactly like that, that's what made it so believable and funny. They're all like this when the cameras are off or at least they were (especially in the 80's/90's). Campaigns at this level are as cut-throat and dirty as it gets and they require a gutter mentality to run them and win.

It's 100% real
You learn about Carvel at the tail end of US history courses starting in middle school. Plus the fat bitch was huge on Twitter. Any shitposting zoomer could have come up with that.
when he quit because woke campus culture had gotten to be too much
"I can't believe my kids are retarded all I did was smoke and drink around them starting from when I was pregnant with them"
I'm related to Bobby Lee, and we've down to a two-generation gap with Charlemagne, or so the family archivists tell us
So we're just bullshitting now? Didn't realize Korea was part of Europe
Apparently they make this stuff about 10 minutes from my house in Queens
And you've been drinking this ever since right?

If thats true why did they campaign so hard for people that made that language a crime? Like that meme about leopards eating peoples faces

To use as a weapon against you and their opponents to silence and weaken them. They don't like these rules ever being used against themselves. Where the fuck have you been?

This story is a prime example. The people involved simply denied it and it's over. If this had been claimed about Trump or any Republican we'd never, EVER hear the end of it. There could be a recording released that disproves it completely and they'd still beat them over the head with the falsehood forever. They do nothing in good faith. Countless examples of this exist.

God I fucking love the next generation gonzo reporting honey pot.

Keep it up and the gays are going to be loosing security clearances across the board.
That's what I love about the powers that be using these pajeets for positions like doctors or lawyers. Their desire for bob and vagene overrides any common sense they might have.

As a white dude I would never spill the beans like this to some random off tinder.

Why would Iran try to hit either candidate? I see nothing but downsides for them. If they succeed and it can be traced to them, it's a causus belli. If they fail, it boosts the target's chance of winning and gives them more of a reason to attack Iran if they do win. Even if they fail and the target loses, the winner still has an added incentive to go after them. Iran's main goal vis a vis the US is to minimize their involvement in the current conflict, which they don't have to work hard at because Americans are sick of Middle Eastern wars.

Non-interventionism has been a key plank in Trump's platform since 2015 or before, and even if he were to pivot hard and try to sell Americans on a war with Iran there's no reason to think he'll be able to get much of his support base on board. See the Covid shots - Trump has been talking them up a lot but his supporters still form a core part of the anti-shot demographic.

Iran's approach to conflict that we can see recently has been very calculating and conservative, with measured responses even to extreme provocations. An attempt on either candidate isn't consistent with that approach.

contrary to what zoomers believe, we didn't live in some magenta and cyan neon tron fantasy where we all drove ferrari testarossas.
To be fair I think the fetishism of the 1980s is based largely on how people who lived during that period talk about it and choose to portray it in the media they create.

A Ukrainian sympathizer literally just tried to kill Trump, so Iran is definitely the country that is trying to kill him. It's not like the Ukrainian president is campaigning for his opponent and fears him becoming President and cutting off his gibs.

In unrelated news, Israel just started a war with Iranian-backed militias in Lebanon and Trump is against intervening in foreign wars. They would greatly benefit from an American president being assassinated by "Iran".

Most of it is made by people who were children then, based on things they watched when they were young adults. They're harkening back to a time when things were simpler.

Though, I can't always blame them. I want to go back to when big mustaches and hawaiian shirts were just bad fashion choices, rather than a sign of political brainrot.
