If you're just going to make TNO into a virtual horror short story with sliders, why not stop pretending, get rid of the focus "tree" and just have a focus trunk? This is TNO design taken to its logical conclusion.

Might not be new. Someone in the comment is saying that it might just be a rebranding of an earlier Redux that was discussed here called Project Restoration. That one was made by literal children and was also of this level of quality.
The saddest part is that this dumpster fire that was likely made by a child is more elaborate, interactive and inviting than the actual content they're likely to get in the mod made by a team of hundreds: a static country with an event every five years that changes nothing. It won't even have a chance for a major shake-up since the removal of the GCW means that none of Germany's neighbors can't even get their five minutes of independence before Germany is railroaded into effortlessly restoring order again. At least Timmy's first focus tree seems to lead to something with actual player-agency in mind and I can't believe we're at a point where this has to be brought up as a positive that separates it from the main mod. Compare that to Kaiserreich where even a tag like Serbia changing course can mean a potential headache for Germany as they now have to plan for yet another small but hostile army on their eastern flank.

It's shit but life's too short to get mad at the Internet about a kid making a generically bad mod but maybe that's just my age showing. It's far more remarkable that the mod it's aspiring to emulate has spent nearly half a decade reducing four German routes to two WIP rework routes while also deleting their most iconic content from the original release.
Now that I think of it it's better if the kids did their shitty mods instead of joining larger teams where they would be groomed by people like Pacifica.
India and Japan seem to be the two regions of the world in HoI4 (and Vic 2) mods where no interesting alt-history is ever really made.
Because India's a shithole that's pretty much irrelevant unless you're the UK, and not enough Westerners know enough about Japanese history to do real alt-history that isn't anime and weebshit.
