Completely agree there, I think Sean's right that it is very unlikely for Nick to face time behind bars, but I do think that Nick deserves prison time. I do think anything less than prison will be taken as a win by Nick to protect his ego, and then he'll go on to reoffend.

The case against April is fascinating to me. I don't really understand why she's being prosecuted here. It's a lot of time and effort to secure what will turn out to be a minor misdemeanor for possession.

They didn't initially charge her. They waited a long time to do it. I think she wouldn't have been charged if she had just gone away and lived somewhere else. But given that she is effectively living with Nick, they want some kind of charge on her and probably some form of probation with drug testing. Its likely indirectly related to the eventual return of the children. Putting a charge on her ensures more order in the house than letting her continue to be an active addict living in the house.

Its also a very easy charge to make because her credit cards were being used in the bedroom to cut the coke. Its constructive possession.
