A lot of movies are shit, though and a bad director or bad actors can ruin a perfectly good script. There's a lot of shitty to mediocre actors and directors who still get work and are made famous because of who they know or who they're related to or how hard they're willing to suck some director/producer/executive's cock. Leonardo DeCaprio got on Oscar for being raped by a cgi bear and sperging about climate change while flying around on his own personal mini Air Force One. M. Night Shamalamawingwong is still getting work even though I don't think a single film of his has turned a profit since Signs or maybe The Village. Comparatively, screenwriting is a far less glamorous job. The poor kid who washes out the semen caked folds of Amy Schumer's gelatinous mass probably gets more recognition and less scrutiny from the industry. Pay is probably the same too.
Leo is loony but he's a decent actor when he wants to be. And M.Night is embracing the comedy horror genre, even if The Vist was underwhelming it was a successful movie. Hollywood pumps out shit but at least a few directors genuinely love movies, like Tarantino.
Max Landis is a pure loon, his scripts sucks and he just uses dad as a good excuse to keep pumping out pure garbage. I'm mainly talking him out for being a hypocrite when it comes to defending other movie script writers. He just uses his dads fame if nothing else. He doesn't like movies at all either, I think. He likes the attention.
