I took it as a given that Trump was not going to do everything he said he would. I figured he'd lie about maybe half if not more because I just assumed he'd be a politician.
I voted for him in 2020 and thought he did a pretty bad job at responding to the loss (which was stolen from him) and Jan 6th that it had pretty much killed all my hopes of someone like trump ever running again. I especially disliked how much he back tracked on Abortion during his campaign. I wasn’t going to vote for him in this election and was going to just do a write in vote for Hitler or Stalin.

I always kept the mind that almost all politics are just a show and behind closed doors the people in office are silently mocking their voter base. It was all just a show while they continued to destroy America from behind the scenes. It wasn’t until he was shot that we really saw Trumps true spirit and love for the American people. And looking back over his entire campaign trail that he was on the ground talking to true Americans.

This shit in NC is increasingly looking like some Mandate of Heaven/Fisher King bullshit. A storm hits a swing state and the current government is so incompetent or aloof they’re allowing free good publicity to the opposition, the sort of PR move that couldn’t even be DREAMED up? I always thought the Mandate of Heaven bullshit was stupid or a meme, but holy hell they might’ve been onto something…

It may end up like 2020 where Trump won the state, but the Democrats kept the governor's seat. However, the Mark Robinson situation seems to have peter out after the most recent news on him was being hospitalized for burns following an incident at a campaign event.

Today's reason to dismantle the Department of Education

This Hartford Public High School grad can’t read. Here’s how it happened. (Archive)

This girl was rubberstamped through elementary, middle and high school without ever being taught how to read, write, tell time, or do any math other than basic addition. Instead of assistance for someone who needed extra help due to being a child of non-English speaking parents, she was given some basic accomodations for her education and shoved into special education courses.

Somehow, she was able to graduate high school as an honor roll student. This happened in Connecticut, under the watch of Miguel Cardona who was appointed to the head of the DoE under Biden.

100% agree. Even if you have problems with DeSantis, he is fucking phenomenal when it comes to preparing for natural disasters and responding to them. I've even seen my leftist friends praise him for that.
If you're a governor for a hurricane prone state, that should be a minimum requirement. Not to dismiss his efforts, I would think it should be painfully obvious of what/how to execute natural disaster relief.

I think Desantis would have been a terrible president but is a great Governor for Florida. Credit where Credit is due, he has secured Florida as a model Red state

Also particularly telling is how the media is exclusively focused on North Carolina and ignoring Georgia and Florida. You can tell they're desperate to have the Dems come in to save the day and then report on it to boost the numbers, but neither Biden nor Harris seem remotely interested in doing their part. Really is turning into Katrina 2.0.

Jd will let the supporters do the dirty job. He’ll play nice pat them on the back and give the signal.
He's very good at this, that's exactly what he did in the parking lot. Played nice, said he understood, gave them a nice tip (NO TAX ON TIPS) and said she was just nervous. He struck the perfect tone, and was gracious. Of course they appear to have doubled down, and the only thing left to see is if the place is still in business in a years time.

I remember something similar playing out where some place made i THINK sarah huckabee-sanders leave a small diner or something, and they were shuttered and closed within 6 months.

My take on Trump now is similar to what RFK Jr. said about him. A lot of it is based on the hope that he is telling the truth when he says he really did not know what he was doing during his first Presidency given that he did not expect to win and ended up appointing a lot of people he did not trust. I can totally understand why some people were dissapointed in him and why they didn't vote for him in 2020 (like me).

I was going to vote for RFK Jr. Largely because I did not trust Trump before the re-alignment we had this year but, after the endorsements, what happened to him (i.e: assasination attempts) and the people that he chose to surround himself with this time, I can say there seems to be a more "solid" foundation this time, in my opinion.

Trump not winning in 2020 could be seen as a blessing in disguise, almost, but only time will tell. It is still largely based on hope but it feels miles more whitepilling than 2020 was (Partially because of the DNC too).
I really don't understand why so many people were disappointed by Trump's first term, he was literally the best president we've had in 30 years and for a lot of people the only good president in their lifetime. What is it about him that was so disappointing, did people really except their to be concentration camps or something? Are people real big bump stock enthusiasts?

I redirect those who think Trump's first term wasn't good enough to this post
He was not ineffective you retard.

His tax cuts are still in place and are probably one of the only things stopping the economy from bleeding out.

Under him there was four years where illegal immigration was staunched.

He did actually build part of the wall which is directing the flow of illegal immigration partially.

He ended the Korean War.

He kept Russia in check.

He got NATO countries to actually pay.

He actually did a lot and he did it all with constant resistance from the DNC and RINOS.

You are just a retard who will acknowledge nothing he did because you are a retard.

Damn Democrats losing Michigan electorates and the senate seat.

For those skeptical, this complements what Rich was saying about Dem internal polling putting her behind. Her comment was about internal polling, which has every incentive to be as accurate as possible compared to the public polls to push a narrative.

This is interesting; if North Carolina was actually competitive for the election, I would think her team would be all over it, especially since she has the advantage of having fema at her back.

The assassination attempt was kind of like that. Trump miraculously survives getting shot and his opposition enters an internal crisis. He might really just crush it come November, let's hope for that.

NGL I'm starting to get hyped for the VP debate. It really is shaping up to be lib boomer vs con millennial and I am drinking the grape flavor aid and believing Vance will tear him a new asshole

Vance has so much online support from BAP and friends online that he could go full Chris Chan level sperg out and they'd still meme it as a "flawless victory" Vance literally just has to show up and even if he kills himself it will still be considered a W.
You're goddamned right, even his balls are inside my mouth at this point.

I won't consider any harm done to him, by himself or others, to be any sort of desirable outcome, though.
