I think this is it. In my city local Chinese holes in the wall are infinitely better than PF Changs or Panda Expresses.

I go a city or two over and suddenly the Chinese food from local places isn't any better than the chain shit.

Ehhh, it depends on whether the Chinese food you're eating is really greasy and sitting under a heating lamp. That stuff is garbage. If you're getting it from a sit-down restaurant, it's going to be fine and have damn near McDonaldization quality regardless of who owns the restaurant. The way to tell if a Chinese restaurant is good to great is ordering Sweet and Sour foods, as the sauce's flavor varies a lot.

That's a huge lie. From my own experience local pizza is dogshit and Pizza Hut the only people who can make great pizza. Pretty much within a five town radius, all the mom and pop pizza joints are inedible and overpriced and only get business because they are the only pizza places in driving distance/deliver.

This can happen. It's a regional thing, sometimes the local pizza places are absolute dogshit and something like Domino's or Papa John's is the only stopgap. It's all a matter of where you live and what's available. When I was staying with my cousin in another state, your experience was absolutely my experience.

However, it's not a hard-and-fast rule. In other areas you're kind of spoiled for choice because there's a lot of good ones and the only thing places like Domino's has over the local places is cost. It's a lot like how down south, if your restaurant has a morning menu and doesn't make biscuits from scratch, you may as well fuck off because every other goddamn restaurant does down there.

You can actually see some regional oddities, too. For example, in most states, the regional norm for cheeseburgers at your average fast food place is bun, meat, cheese, optionally onions (Mcdonalds does this), and a bit of mustard and ketchup. In NY, none of the burger places put mustard on by default, just ketchup. These regional differences can be fucking huge depending on what you're looking for, so it helps to look into them so you have some idea of what you want.

Maybe it depends on location. I have enough good mom-and-pop places around me that there’s no reason to go to Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut is really bland in comparison. Supporting small businesses and all that. However, the upcharge, time, and risk of contamination makes it so that unless you can’t get it yourself for whatever reason, you’re better off driving.

Fuck Taco Bell though. Asmongold and Caseoh endorsing it is a bona fide food health warning.

Anyone who remembers being a teenager remembers the constant hunger that only got worse with any measure of physical activity, even when you were getting healthy food and enough of it. Anyone who had a siblings or raised a teenager remembers their ability to eat more food than most adults in a single sitting, and then being able to do so only a few hours later -- especially during the growth spurts.

Mrs. Ruhle's two sons were 10 and 13 as of 2019 (archive.org). That was 5 years ago. That means that if she had any involvement with raising them, she has seen just how much a teenage boy can eat once already, and is now living that again right now.

One of the first thing Trump needs to do when he gets back in the Oval Office is sign an Executive Order saying that only natural-born citizens can vote. Then secure elections with requiring ID and stuff. That will not only put an end to Democrats importing voters but it will get rid of quite a few Democrat voters instantly since millions will suddenly become ineligible to vote

This isn't something that Trump could do by executive order. At a minimum, it would take Congress passing a law to that effect.

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.

So a law requiring that all federal elections happen in person, on one day, forbidding any mail-in or absentee ballots except as explicitly requested by those with good justification, that ballots be printed in only English and requiring a person to provide a valid photo ID that proves US citizenship to vote could probably happen. But that would probably be the end of its scope. Expect Constitutional challenges if Congress tries to require the states to require ID for their own internal elections, to counter California's recent law forbidding proof of ID. The Federal government telling the States how to run their own internal elections wouldn't have flown in 1788 and won't fly today. To go that far, a Constitutional amendment would be required. I don't think it is feasible for the populist wing of the GOP to get 2/3 of both the Senate and the House this election cycle.

I think it's a safe assumption at this point. And of course he is the center of her world and she is rasing him to dress and act like his daddy did before he left her.

There's a clip - I can't find it - but he was being interviewed by Larry King on TV and Larry King asks him a question and instead of answering it, Donald just looks right at him and says something like, "Larry, I have to say, your breath is really bad". Boys eat a lot of fucking eggs. They eat a lot of food in general. The number might not be far off anyway.

oh, and FEMA didn't do shit for us either. they out right denied claims for relief from people whose houses were reduced to bare concrete slabs. Private charities and state aid forces did most of the work.

Same here. Lived through Hurricane Sandy right off the water on the south shore of NYC where everything went to shit. I'm on higher ground, my girlfriend at the time lived 3 blocks from Jamaica Bay and she had to evacuate. Water rose like 20 ft above sea level. When she went back to her place a week later there were actual boats on her lawn. Her old neighborhood was completely decimated - people's homes were totally leveled. Those that weren't outright destroyed were overcome with black mold and condemned. FEMA showed up and didn't do shit. One FEMA rep was completely blowing off my friend's entirely destroyed house and when my friend complained to him, he was told to call the government FEMA office and complain there, and then he left. Denied everyone's claims. Didn't provide shit. In the end it was local churches and charities collecting clothes and setting up food tents to cook and feed people who had no power and lost their homes.

FEMA is a fucking disgrace.

EDIT: This actually reminded me also what a piece of shit Bloomberg was. I remember a local fire house had set up a tent with an impromptu kitchen and had firemen cooking up food buffet style to feed all the people who had no homes and no food and Bloomberg sent his fucking bullshit city agents down who fined the firemen and tried to close down the tent because the firemen didn't have a fucking license to run a food kitchen and didn't have cleanliness certs from the board of health or some shit. The firemen told the agents to fuck off and the NY Post ran a huge story about it.

Also, Bloomberg kept insisting that the NYC Marathon was gonna happen even though the city was in tatters. There were huge generators that were set up for the marathon and there were neighborhoods without any power and Bloomberg was refusing to repurpose the generators to help the neighborhoods because he was adamant the marathon was happening and he didn't want anything to derail those plans so fuck the people with no power - they don't get the generators.

So much has been menoryholed but Bloomberg really was a subhuman piece of shit.

Take my nieces to fairs and little close by mini vacations for the sake of my brother who works harder but has a bit less than I do after the practical costs are said and done.
