He was defined by his actions and contribution to the plot, and was extremely easy to love. You only thought about him as trans if you stopped to think about his situation if it somehow happened IRL. Then the “new” series started and any time the genderfluid kid was on the scene, it would have to talk about its gender shit and how it made it “interesting to others” in a serious way.

Fucking tragic. I don’t even like Harry Potter that much but I have nothing but respect for Rowling. She could have gone Hogwarts 2: Rainbow Magic and made billions, but chose integrity instead.

I love the Skullduggery Pleasant books but after Dying of the Light the author seems to make all the characters gay or have had gay relationships in the past. At least they’re bisexual and not pan sexual, but I just roll my eyes and skim past those parts. It just feels really shoehorned in. Never (the gender fluid character) didn’t bother me that much as they came across as very self involved and a bit annoying, which is probably pretty accurate.
I’ll stop sperging about SP now and go read the latest book.
