Yeah, I've been hanging onto mine in the hopes that things will go back to something at least resembling pre-pandemic/chip shortage pricing but I guess dealers realized people would pay $10-20k over MSRP, especially for the kinds of vehicles that people actually need, and the used market followed suit. My dad was trying to convince me to upgrade back in 2016/17, definitely should have listened lol

Not sure about Trump per se but when Roe v Wade got struck down, it was all over twitter that the govt/Republicans/Gilead was going to go through period tracker app data and use that to....??? See who was getting abortions I guess? Who was pregnant? I honestly don't know.

I vividly remember as a kid my parents helping out a lot for the annual church festival for a feast of a certain saint, I think it was Maximillian since he was relatively new in terms of saints (done by John Paull II). (It actually wasn't a successful festival, because it was supposed to be for parishioners only, but they allowed everyone to come, leading to undesirables showing up and wanting to play for free without paying for tickets for the booths, making the parking situation absolute shit, as well as eating all the food that was supposed to be for the congregation)

Shit like this is precisely why I do not attend any church. I do not want to deal with church politics. People wonder why church attendance is going down across the US and stuff like this is why. It's not just the Marxists who get in and fuck shit up, it's the yentas who treat the church like a club.

My granddad's Silverado is about that age, and still gets just shy of 20 mpg. That's diesel, though. Gas would be a fair bit lower.

But still better than my old Chevy S-10 gets, even though it's half the size, if that. I get better offers on that truck than the Silverado, though. Hard to find quarter-ton pickups these days.

Trump should campaign on rescinding LBJ's Chicken Tax finally. It was fine back when Ford and Chevy were still making light-duty pickups, but now it's impossible to find an affordable small truck because there's more money in F-150s and the mid-sized Ranger lines and such.

While tastes do differ from person to person, the best frozen pizza is easily Motor City Pizza Co. It's sold at Walmart, but at mine it's usually sold out. They're Detroit-style deep dish pizza, so square shaped with lots of cheese on the crust. They're miles better than even most restaurant pizzas I've had.

I will say, Red Baron was bargain basement when I was a kid, but they've actually improved a lot since then. Better crust and cheese, I think. Toss some whole milk mozz from Walmart on them and they're not half bad.

Israel has defense against missiles (David's Sling/Arrow). Iron Dome is useless against anything except for relatively small amounts of unguided rockets; it's easily overwhelmed by mass artillery barrages and useless against guided missiles that don't follow a predicable flight path or fly too fast for the interreceptor to reach in time.

Even then, last time Iran attacked Israel, American jets downed the vast majority of the incoming missiles (archive).

They believe Republicans are wanting to criminalize miscarriage also. Like considering it abortion and making it a capital offense.

That's why they freaked out over ovulation/period tracker apps, because they think the Republicans will have a backdoor into them like the government does with social media. They imagine women losing a wanted pregnancy and getting dragged from their home and tossed in a van.

The ketchup bottle fantasies are getting out of hand.
