Sounds like we need a brutal crackdown on labor organizations because it turns out, we are learning just now, that the leadership can hijack them for corrupt personal and political reasons preventing them from representing the best interests of their members.

would someone who pays attention to this stuff give me an idea of how big of an "it's happening" this is, on a scale of 1-10? it feels like i hear about Iran shooting missiles at Israel all the time but just on a gut reaction it feels like this might be a 8 out of 10 happening

And then they did the exact opposite and limited the hours stores remained open (at least where I was living at the time) meaning more people were trying to occupy the same spaces simultaneously, making them more crowded.

FWIW in the org I used to work for, in yurop so ymmv, we went from 24 hour to 16 on the back of being short staffed because every time someone had a sniffle they went missing for 3 weeks during the coof



We never went back because after 2022 was when the labour squeeze started and no one currently working wanted to pick up shifts and new hires couldn't be started on night shift without support so... we just gave up on the idea



Even shit like late opening on Thursday in "normal" retail has barely come back from what I can see

Yeah, if I had to guess the change in a lot of the gas stations seemed to be related to staffing, even in a time when supposedly all those jobs had come back and then some. But once the 24h was gone, it was gone for good.

The best you are gonna get for a 24/7 gas stations is one of those completely automatized one out in the middle of no where. Basically a couple of pumps and mini store that is nothing but vending machines with a little place to sit. Some place further out enough in the sticks that bums can't walk to it to sleep in.

It depends on what the missiles hit.

Sometimes they do just "for show" missile attacks, that can easily get intercepted, and whatever it hits is just some random, inconsequential military target.

But if more than just a couple of civilians actually die, then I'd call it a 9/10.

Considering Iran leaders are faggots, I doubt they're doing anything serious.

It's not like Biden are Kamala have ever been close. Biden made an unforced error and announced he was going to pick a black woman as VP. Everyone assumed he was thinking of Stacey Abrams, not Kamala. But Kamala was in the race, so the DNC gave it to her as an award for dropping out and endorsing Biden, after calling him a racist multiple times. Nobody ever wanted Kamala in the Oval Office. That she's this close at all is the result of a long string of Dem fuckups and kicking a can down the road instead of making hard decisions.
