"Damn volunteers are slow so I ain't gonna finish the one thing you need to be able to win the game, instead Imma make more Hitman that's not Hitman, kickstarter coming soon!"
lol nice one, alex. pinning it on the volunteers who you depend on to make your shitty meme game.

"volunteer" doesn't just mean "working for free." it also means that these people are having to do this work in their free time, and alex is such an asshole to them so i can't imagine that's a very good motivator. why put a lot of your free time into something that will get alex's backhanded compliments or outright dickery?

The worst part is that the volunteers do much more for the game than Alex and yet they get no recognition. He literally just sits there waiting for people to give him models, voiceworks, assets, animations etc for free, then he takes weeks to implement them, and it's the almighty YandereDev who gets all the praise.

It makes me wonder, how the fuck did Alex expect to finish this game without volunteers? What if the person who makes the animations quits? Does the development stops until he finds someone else?

You can't yourself a "game developer" if (by yourself) you can't achieve anything.

Fuck this website. Youre all a bunch of thoughtless pricks. If Mario was made by a single developer today you'd be saying the same shit you're saying here. I'm out.
Ahh, the old unwarranted importance argument.

Also, I didn't realize Mario was a ripoff of Hitman with Japanese school anime stereotypes by weeaboos.

Dude couldn't even build a launcher by himself, if all the volunteers quit at once the amazing Yandere-dev would shit the bed and the game would die.

In a little bit of fairness, I'm pretty sure he never expected the game to take off the way it did, probably only expecting a much smaller scope. The volunteers came to him at first, only later did he expand on it.

He mentioned that he's got multiple people working on the same things, so if one animator quits, he's got others working on other animations that can still be submitted. There is even redundancy.

He can act like he's a one-man dev show all he wants, but as soon as those volunteers wise up and stop working for him, he's gonna be up shit creek without a paddle. This is why basic respect for your team (not that this is really a team) is a must. These are people working in their free time without pay, and he has the gall to be such an asshole to them and throw them under the bus because of his own incompetence.

Everything falls back on him, really. If Alex wasn't such an egomaniacal dick and had competently coordinated everyone working on this project - and of course wasn't focusing on fetish shit - I imagine the game would be maybe a third of the way done rather than a hundredth.

Guess we all missed the part where Mario takes panty shots while on his quest to murder his rival Bowser (who is now a kawaii desu schoolgirl), all to win the love (and big busty boobies) of his senpai, Princess Peach.

How could we have been so blind?

Then he should've kept the smaller scope, not rely on strangers to give you everything for free.

So "It's ok cause he has volunteers to spare"? What if they all quit? He still waits until the next person appears to give him the animations? Alex isn't paying them, the volunteers don't owe him anything. There is no guarantee that they will last until the game is finished, or in this case, even finish the animations on the right time.

Alex could technically at least pay a few of his volunteers or fully hire someone to work for him, he gets +5000 every month, it's impossible that he can't find someone experienced enough for a price. But of course he won't do that (even if his patreon says he will hire a programmer) cause that's his "tip jar".It's actually pretty absurd that he would rather delay the game as much as possible and leave all the work on volunteers than actually hire someone.

But he is such a poor dev and works so much, he rightfully deserves +5000 every month while the volunteers don't. I can unironically see Alex saying: "working for YandereDev isn't a right, it's a privilege".

You know, When fans give out good and more logical ideas on Reddit, & Alex replies with ''This is a good idea, but it might delay the games development.'', Or, when he says that the scope of the game is getting significantly larger. It makes me wonder, This IS his game after all, Nobody else is making the game more complicated... but him. Alex is refusing to acknowledge that the reason on why this game is taking so long is because he keeps adding so much useless shit. The new modes, like mission mode and pose mode, I can understand why he is adding it, he is adding it so fans don't get bored, so Youtubers can show off new content and the games hype train keeps rolling. However, He is refusing to understand that there wouldn't be any need to add this modes in the first place if his game weren't so boring. Think about it, if you kill of kokona, That's it, There goes AT LEAST 99% of what he has been working on the past months, Most of the elimination methods can't even be used on anybody else, So once Kokona's gone, theres no plot. Sure, you can play around with the easter eggs, do the ''side missions'' and all, But with Kokona gone, theres no actual need to do the side missions anyway. Jesus, he should of at least tried all of these elimation methods with Oka, considering she's an actual rival and the only rival in game who can actually move and can be interacted with.

tl;dr: Alex is focusing on other things to make his game fun [a.k.a adding other game modes] when he should focus on the main game's current state

Damnit I go away for one day and miss all the fun. You can all vote me late now. So how badly do you think Edge-chan/mission mode will fuck up the "game" and how long until Alex either A Stops working on it leaving it a half finished mess. B Removes it to save the half finished mess he already has. Or C All of the above but adds a new half finished mess to replace it?
