I didn't realize it at the time when I was a deluded fan of the Dick Show, but in hindsight it was an attempted scam. I remember Daxipad having technical difficulties and the shitcoin died on the vine due to his laziness and incompetence.
I mean it wasn't particularly exciting. It just sort of accentuates this notion that there's this gross, nepotistic cabal that spans from Rekieta and Dax to people like Chrissy who are yes men who never say anything untoward about them and are the first to jump out and defend each other at a moment's notice.
Dick getting kicked out of UCB was really tragic for him, trying to get literal nobodies he brushed shoulders with 10 years ago, like his viewers would give a fuck. It would honestly be a better show if you had Vito and Ralph yell at each other rather than him trying to relive his life as a UCB dropout. It's a weird aspiration and a far cry from peak Dick Show c. 2018-2020, where he could pull people like John McAfee, Negative XP, Sam Hyde, Josh, Metokur, etc. Why the fuck do you want to reingratiate yourself with the LA comedy scene? It's such a weird regression that leads me to believe that because he's pissed off both the sektur and the anti-woke crowd that he needs to look somewhere else for guests, and he figures enough time must've passed that people won't remember who he is or why he was made persona non grata.
