The fact that they said it'd be there at 90 minutes at the earliest (and still took 20 minutes) indicates to me that the cyclist wasn't that hurt and they were trying to signal that maybe Our Stunningly Brave Trans Princess of TERF Island could drive them there himself rather than wasting resources on an ambulance.
Called back and insisted? Doesn't 999 normally keep you on the phone while you wait for an ambulance?
We'll probably never know, but it's especially funny to imagine that it was a superficial wound or something nonlifethreatening (like a broken limb) and Olly jumped in and insisted on an ambulance because he wanted to get a viral tweet. It's posh kid energy that he would feel entitled to public resources that would be better spent elsewhere. (Like the time he emailed his doctor 133 times and complained to everyone he could get hold of in the NHS because he wasn't receiving healthcare as quickly as he expected. If being trans should entitle people to jump the NHS waitlist, why shouldn't some cyclist jump the line so trans Olly can feel like a hero?)
