I had some qualms with Vance, namely my worry of him being too lenient with Russia, and occasional times where I believed he could’ve had more tact. The debate he did was stellar, and I now feel more confident voting on the Trump/Vance ticket. It reassured me that Trump will have a good advisor, and possible next president should Trump die in office. I really value someone that can be assertive and well spoken as a leader, because if you can’t show it at a debate, you can’t show it towards a world leader.

Thinking back, Vance does "I AM MIDDLE CLASS" more genuine and way better than cumala. Probably because he WAS middle class and cumala was never one.
Was Vance really middle class though? Being raised by your grandmother because your mom is a drug addict dead beat doesn't read as any kind of middle class to me. It reads like "white ghetto."
He was lower class. The guy grew up dirt poor being raised by his meemaw

Why do people even care about "class"? It should be irrelevant. What matters is who an individual is. They could be born and raised dirt poor and become a billionaire or they could be born into a billionaire family and end up a homeless junkie. I've never defined myself by class. I was born and raised a bit poor. Oh well, that's life. Who cares? 🤷‍♂️

Can't destroy what's already destroyed. America is beyond repair if dems win. Mofos can barely afford groceries & having 2 major conflicts that will result in ww3 doesnt give hope for rebuilding. And why should we rebuild if it's going to do the same bullshit like giving women the right to vote.
Most things in America function just fine in comparison to a lot of other countries and places throughout history.
Nearly everything very important works like clockwork. It's just a few things are starting to get fucked and it's noticeable and globalists are trying to say the emperor's new clothes are beautiful.
It is entirely fixable but it has to actually be fixed and giving in to apathy won't do anything to help.
Exactly. It's not like I'm living in bombed out Tokyo 1946. It's bad right now, not that bad. There is still a lot of time to fix our problems.

I mean you’ve had Dems in congress say that when Trump wins they just don’t accept but that will cause civil war and they need to be ok with starting that.

They aren’t even trying to hide the fact they are going to take the win away by any means this time.
It's why I don't wanna hear another word about Jan 6

Some people don't know what the middle class is. I've known people who went abroad to Europe every summer with their family, and they believed they were middle class.

Those longshoremen striking right now - all of whom make six figures, and many of whom make around a quarter million a year - insist they are middle class lol

Not to mention that a lot of voters questioning Trump's age have far less to worry about with Vance after last night, too.

I firmly believe that Vance put those fears to rest by appearing to be so articulate, capable, confident, empathetic, informative, etc. This was one of the best debate performances that's happened in my lifetime.
I'm feeling another Calvin Coolidge reference coming in...

Vance is the future of the republican party
he's the future of america. like you said the energy is all with the gop but its obvious just how trump's going on streamers and podcasts that they're near openly going after the youth in a way that democrats won't. the democrats are stuck in the 2000s, the concept of even going on a podcast or having social media beyond generic posts literally like in 2008 just doesn't make sense to them.

i remember in 2008 the daily show was praising barack for just having a facebook page and that's literally the bar they still hold themselves to today. democrats don't understand smartphone, just having accounts on social media is good enough for them, the concept of interacting online or hosting AMAs or tweeting memes or anything else is not remotely their strong suit the way its huge in the GOP right now.

While you might have AOC or other low level house members using social media to their advantage, it won't hit the democrats up top for a long time. its crazy how night and day discourse is between cable news and online the difference is insane and the amount of faggots watching and believing what you see on tv is an increasingly older demo. literally only the 50 and older group at this point. Democrats might be winning on cable but who the fuck watches cable anymore? i have family over drinking age who have never seen a commercial break before and would rather shut off the cable box rather than wait for one to end.

republicans being the party of the online is an obvious winning move as the years pass by and unless the democrats can tamper down and censor they'll die out and have to triangulate even harder. i wouldn't be surprised if one of the dem primary candidates in 2028 has the same platform as trump in 2016 because of how much of a course correction the dems will need to do after 4 years of trump and vance.
I know that the debate prep is a hefty thing and it's seeing behind the curtain can give some fascinating insight into what each side thinks about their opponent.
and the fact they got sucker punched by Bugs Bunny shows the Dems are truely that out of touch, when was the last time the dems ran a ticket that decisively won their debates 1996? obama was rather shit at the debates and they obviously lost in 00 and 04 which means you have to go that far back to see them have a team that knew their shit well. If you notice thats roughly when the democrats really were at their peak in terms of knowing what the people wanted and how they could get the republicans to play to their fiddle. every time after that it was like this year's debates. most of the time its "did you see the fly/binders/malarky/etc" and amplifying it over a horrible performance by their candidate because they can't bother understanding the other side. or at best its "50/50"

to get beaten this badly in a debate means the dems better be rethinking all their strats, because that was a once in a generation experience, especially when it was sort of three in a role. trump hit biden, mostly handled kamala, and vance destroyed timmy.
I loved how Vance looked like this the entire debate. View attachment 6480476
best meme
While the VP debate usually has low impact,
thats only true because the media says so, in about 6 weeks the media will admit how much VP debates matter. the polls are going to be fucking shocking a week from now.

I didn't watch the debate, and I actually rather enjoy missing it live. I normally get the temperature of how things are from the reactions.
My first impressions are that nobody is going apeshit. No one captured a meme to embarrass Vance with, and Walz didn't entirely shit the bed.
Advantage: Vance, on the notion that Walz didn't have a gotcha for Vance, or a sound-bite, or do anything meme-worthy that could roll into the Harris faux-zeitgeist campaign, which doesn't unify the campaign with similar energies or some shit. There may be some buyer's remorse on him yet, but that may only arise after the election.
Overall, Walz is about what I expected: warmed-over Jello. Which, if Harris really wants to inspire "joy" (which, fuck help me, if I think of a President, "joy" is not on my desired characteristics, and whoever decided to try and make that particular flavor of "fetch" happen needs to be beaten with a firehose), he ain't the guy to do it.

Its never been so over for the dems. Vance was prepared, Walz was not. While the VP debate usually has low impact, the polls have been pretty tight no matter how you look at them. It just needs to swing a thousand here, a thousand there, and Trump wins. And Kamala knows it. They are so fucked. And they only have just over a month to swing it around. They cant. Its so fucking done.
Speaking of does anyone have the viewership to compare how many people watched the presidential debate in comparison to the VP one? I saw ~600k PER channel last night. I didnt pay attention during the presidential debate - but that's a LOT of people watching.

The vice presidential debate between Tim Walz and JD Vance scored more than 43 million viewers on TV Tuesday night, according to Nielsen estimates.

The 43 million figure is the combined audience across 15 TV networks that simulcast the CBS-produced debate. An unknown number of additional viewers watched the debate on YouTube and other online platforms.

Vice presidential debates are typically lower rated than presidential face-offs, and this year was no exception. Last month’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump drew more than 67 million viewers across 17 TV networks, according to Nielsen.
