The only thing I really dislike about Mike is all the self-fellatio (the time spent watching clips of other people mentioning his name) and how invested he is in trying to come across as hip/cool (the clothes and music, and burying some of his viewpoints in layers of irony/sarcasm, in the hopes that he won't leave anything real to attack).

I just remembered the other day how Mike sold all his furniture and massive dvd collection to build a stage and smoke machine in his living room for fucking rock band

Cameron malek was just the webmaster, a fan from Minnesota. Somehow his red bar radio website template got stolen by Mexicans and used for a Mexican radio show called radio zona sera. I think Mike stopped paying him after he got sued by Kyle as well

Kyle stuff is played out but Dean introduced Mike to Kyle and him and Mike first had a red bar comedy night to then forming a two night a week event at the ontourage night club which Mike called a full own club even tho it wasn’t. Kyle had a business card in his own name that Mike scammed and used for everything including grub hub and dinners at smoq bbq every night. Mike’s only contribution to the club ended up being going there and drinking for free and shouting nigger at the performers and audience as well as making intro 30 second dvds for comedians.

Kyle got sick of Mike scamming him and had Sahar the intern lock Mike out of everything he used kyle’s credit card for including paying for the website and his home internet service the day Marc Maron was supposed to be on the show and perform at the club later in the evening. Kyle did this at this time specifically because Mike said he was going to “call out maron” on some stupid show related stuff from a year prior when Marc called in to defend himself and Mike didn’t realize it was him. So instead of Mike risking the reputation of the club and ticket holders by potentially offending maron from performing that night, he shut Mike off from him entirely on that day.

Mike later claimed this was Kyle “stealing” the club from him (Mike also never signed any contract declaring ownership of anything redbar) and after his parents bailed him out and got him up to date on his mortgage payments, Mike started a years long campaign lying about Kyle and cut off ties from every comic who performed at the club because he felt they were “betraying” Mike. It was all extremely petty bullshit. Kyle eventually sued or threatened to sue Mike for slander and Mike removed all the shows he could from the site (this is why Cameron malek was also sued).

Mike has always been a fraud and a liar and his fans have just been too dumb to look into it because Mike would delete forum/facebook posts of anyone who questioned and would send fans to doxx and harass family and jobs of those who did.

Season 14-16 is where the show becomes what it is today. No more blackouts and arguing with callers, no more begging for help, no more bad segments that go no where.

This is where classic iPad, Jules writing notes, fools watch, examining comedian podcasts for hours on end Mike emerges.

An episode from season 14 vs an episode from 2 years ago is so different it feels like a knockoff even Mikes style is different. This is where he grows the beard out and is more confident and comfortable at the job. With a wife he doesn't feel as awkward and lonely.

Mike before season 13 would rant a out weed being awful and didn't even drink and talkrd about how stupid an iPad even was. "No I won't go after Patrick Melton, he's my friend. Ban that guy Cameron"

Mike moved from being a lolcow to mocking the lolcows.

Season 14 is where the show becomes good. It's like Dragonball Z. You can skip everything before that and should because it's fucking gay and outside of a handful of points it sucked.

That's where the show became the show. Redbar before season 13 if asked what it was about Mike would go "uh it's about burgers, beers, sex, cereal, rollercoaster, grandmas, prank calls, rap, karaoke, books...."

But by season 14 he had a concrete grasp and what the show was and where he was taking it

There's a great episode in season 13 where Mike just goes "I just realized I spent the last two hours talking without saying a single joke" and cringes and goes "sorry" and ends the show. And that's honestly one of the better episodes of the season with a solo Mike because he started gaining self awareness and didn't defend going 2 hours speaking nonsense to fill the air.

If you want to be a fan of redbar just never watch anything pre-season 14. The show descriptions are lies.

Nigga, the prank calls are like 5 minutes of content in a span of 2000 hours. Mike did maybe one prank call a year on average from 2007-2016. And all those prank calls got clipped and put on YouTube.

I don't want a guy to waste 1000 hours of his life going "when is Mike going to make a prank phone call?"

Mike has like two episodes in 2013 where he exclusively does prank phone calls and sure listen to those but Mike banned and doxxed people that asked for prank phonecalls in 2010 and has does more prank calls in the last 2 years than he did in all of the 2000s and first half of 2010s.

Listen to the Moon Nigga episode and realize he did content like that 20x more than he did "prank calls" you stupid faggot

He deleted all the pre-2007 episodes because of the lawsuit and 2007 has the best string of episodes of the pre-melton watch era. but Mike got spooked about Monty and losing his job meant the content got fucking stale in 2008 which is why they took a break.

2009 really sucked too. There's a reason the sagas and best of episodes he did in 2014 were mostly just 2007 episodes outside of the one with Dean and his car.

Dean really felt like a perfect match when it was him and Mike going after Monty but Dean completely checked out after that.

I still listen to the "Dean likes dudes" song from the Iranian chick from way back then.
