To play devil's advocate here,i cant completely blame Dev.Earlier Dev was very clearly aware of his "place"in the youtube ecosystem;he always mentioned that he is too fat,ugly and uncharismatic to network and keep growing as a creator and achieve microcelebrity status.However he was content in pulling a nice high 4-figure sum from Youtube's easy money golden era.

However these times have passed.You dont get to make a chunky(heh)living anymore with his numbers since ads are cheaper and cheaper,and you need to go to Hambly levels of pants on head retarded self-censoring if you want your video to generate real ad money with his kind of views.His erratic behavior reflects his dwindling income-he feels compelled to act like Destiny because he hopes he can generate enough dramaclout to get eyes on his more essaylike content.

Dev somehow doesn't realize, even after seeing the words "natural rights" that negative freedoms describe primitive laws of nature, that apply to all animals not "nice to haves".
1. communication / speech
2. survival
3. production (of goods and services)
4. reproduction
These are God given rights, and no act of man can deny you these things. Even making it illegal will not deny it of you. There is nothing a government, gang, giant corporation, or any combination can do to deprive you of these natural rights besides killing you, or poisoning you. It makes a lot more sense when I remember Dev is a midwit though, and he thinks natural rights are things like universal healthcare and respecting tranny pronouns and desegregated schools.

I think it's both.He tries to farm outrage clickbait and gets a nice PV paycheck at the same time.Note that he moved to a much shittier place this year-his income has taken a massive hit and he had to downgrade his house.

He was always yapping off about moving out to the states, i doubt he gets that much income from Patreon and SubStar and Google combined, let alone to pay rent in such places, which is another reason to assume he was getting payola from Wu.
