I haven't been following things closely like I used to, but wasn't Cecil condemned by EVS and Malin as guilty of being a Dungeoneer subversive? And didn't they put him through a struggle-session? I don't even know if they've streamed together for some time, but I might be wrong about that.

Patrick T Parnell hosted a CG meetup years ago, and during the meetup the group went to some kind of kink club or something. EVS and Malin spent weeks attacking these people online (including Cecil who was there) for this claiming the venue they attended was some kind of "sex dungeon." They dubbed these people who attended "The Dungeoneers" and declared them to be double plus ungood. (It was part of a brief power struggle in CG where PTP and others were trying to create their own faction loyal to them.)

so now that Joker 2 is out tomorrow for you guys and its gonna be a real flop, narratively and box office definitely, who is simple Zack going to blame?
1.) Drinker and his merryband who hates everything and doesnt watch anything
2.) incel chuds who hates good cinema like good capeslop like Joker 2 (pffft...)

Who exactly is a capeshit movie with a musical number (or maybe multiple musical numbers?) in it made for in the first place?

The first Joker movie caught lightning in a bottle, and was probably not reproducible. But it seems like they've gone out of their to do ... something, honestly not quite sure what.

Zack figures the incel chuds are easily led around by Drinker and co, so that's how he's going to frame that. He'll likely say that anyone who didn't like it is a closet case loser who doesn't deserve Hollywood greatness. I guess we'll see. Zack really liked the first one, so if the second flops he'll probably be madder that it failed than he is about Ed Piskor.

Yeah, I've heard all kinds of theories. For example that the director didn't want to make a sequel so they just kept piling money in front of him until he said yes, but deliberately pulled a Last Jedi so he wouldn't have to do any more sequels. (I still think it's weird that Rian Johnson was allowed to blow up Star Wars like that because he didn't really like the idea of a long lived science fiction property and thought it would be fun.)

Truthfully, that does have precedent, like Beneath the Planet of the Apes ending was stipulated by Charleton Heston according to legend so there wouldn't be any more sequels. (Not that that worked, of course.)

The first Joker movie was great, but yeah I'm really not feeling the idea of the guy having an entire movie as a musical. Who knows, it might be amazing, but it's not what I wanted from a Joker movie. Granted Batman Brave and the Bold had an entire musical episode and I loved it and a few of the other episodes had musical numbers as well including the Joker, so I'm willing to be a little optimistic about these guys pulling it off

His lack of understanding stems from the fact he does not appreciate his own audience. FNT/Drinker do. They now the audience is king and make it obvious. They sing Happy Birthdays because they know that if the audience feels underappreciated, they and their money will leave. The shout-outs are the products people paid money for and they got them (I personally do not get paying for this but I understand transactions unlike Zack). Zack, on the other hand, sees himself as a superstar where people pay for the possibility of getting on of his comics. No wonder people side with his opposition. At least they appreciate the fans (if only as customers) and make sure fans feel appreciated. As I said, I do not believe in superchats but if people want them, they should get them. Zack picked the wrong kind of people to start a beef with.
