Hurricane Helene / Invest 97L

The technology is from the 1960s and involves microwaves directed at the cloud formation to increase its temperature slowly over days.
And it would do jack and shit. Go look at how much heat energy is in a single hurricane. Even if we just consider the amount required to maintain the wind speeds of the storm, that's still more than the entire US installed power capacity. That's why it takes intense wildfires burning tens of thousands of acres to produce thunderstorms, and even they almost never produce supercells or actual tornadoes (and not those fire dust devil things), since burning tens of thousands of acres worth of forest releases the required amount of energy to influence the weather. Hurricanes are an order of magnitude stronger, and this hurricane stronger than most. Even 1% of a hurricane's heat is still 15 gigawatts every second and there are no microwave devices emitting that much power. Maybe if you used the entire US nuclear arsenal you could artificially strengthen a hurricane for perhaps a day.
Illegals are the worst natural disaster there is.

False. The amount effected would have mostly voted red. Asheville WAS a liberal oasis in a red mountain. Not sure if you’re uninformed or retarded or willfully ignorant, if not a combination.

Either you've never been to Asheville or you're being intentionally dishonest. I go down there multiple times a year. I was just down there 2 months ago and it was just as liberal as ever. Even came across a medium size group of people chanting Free Palestine downtown with a single opposing heckler. It's definitely not a red city. The surrounding areas sure, but those are also a lot less in population.

Woo buddy, I’m sure glad that you’re convinced that Asheville isn’t liberal with no actual sources to back it up.

This article from April of 2024 points out that one county (the one that Asheville sits in), is much more left leaning than the neighboring county, registered voters wise. I wonder why that could be?

here is the department of transportation telling people not to fly drones there and every single response is accusing them of a coverup.

(X) In case you somehow thought this faggot could not be more unlikeable.

Literal fucking treason. If only fat retard Americans had the spine to use the Second Amendment as the founding fathers intended.

I run a small niche business and order all my supplies from another small (but much bigger than mine) niche supplier located where the worst of the flooding hit. Found out their shop and warehouse flooded over the roof. They happen to supply a huge chunk of this particular niche business industry's raw materials. They do have one other store front in another state with a small warehouse, but they just lost a massive chunk of inventory and the nearly the entirety of their operations. I am loyal to this particular business- I love them and they make absolutely top notch supplies and generally do great things for our community. The scale of devastation for this industry because of this one supplier wiped out is hard to describe. This will ripple across the country for this particular industry. iykyk, please don't dox though. Hit me up if you do know lmao
Yes, no one else is going to be able to get high purity quartz crucibles either.

The reliable flow of information in and out of cut off areas will help things alot. Even if they just let people wificall/DM loved ones and friends it will go a long way in helping things out.

Edit: They're in damage control now and seem to be trying to fix the optics rather than the hurricane

If Appalachia pretended to be a Jewish ethno state do you think the US government would give them billions to help them out?

here's a guy getting threatened with arrest for rescuing people and being forced to leave a man stranded by threat of prosecution. not a random guy either, two volunteersm firefighters in a helicopter.
Here is the full story

SC pilot flying volunteer supply and rescue missions ordered out of Lake Lure under arrest threat

Seidhom said the fire official ordered him to leave and not come back.

“If that’s what you want us to do, we’ll leave no issue. And I explained to him that I left my son on the side of the mountain, and I left another victim. I was going to go back and bring them, it was already set up for the landing spot and then I would get out of his area. He told me I wasn’t going to go back up the mountain to get them, I was going to leave them there.”

Seidhom said he asked the official for a specific reason he was ordering him to stop his rescue efforts. “You’re interfering with my operation,” is the reason Seidhom said the fire official gave.

“I’m going back and getting my copilot [son]. He said, ‘If you turn around and go back up the mountain, you’re going to be arrested.’ I said, ‘Well, sir, I’m going back to get my [son], I don’t know what to tell you.'”

Seidhom said the official called two law enforcement officers over and again threatened him with arrest if he flew back up the mountain.

You shouldn't go there and help because of looters and crime running rampant
You shouldn't donate to any organisations since that will just get confiscated
But also don't donate to individuals since grifters
Actually, trust nobody.

Seems like the people there are just fucked.

Suffah Hurricane victims. Suffah!

I would just like more scrutiny to be applied here. Both the the government handling it as well as whatever is posting on the internet. Especially if it is just some random person claiming something outrageous without providing any evidence.
This thread is an rather interesting example on the matter. Will have to think about it.
This is probably going to be unpopular but all efforts should be shifted to getting those people evacuated out of those areas for the long-term, not bringing them supplies to stay. Sure, drop enough until someone can get to them to drag them away if necessary but it isn't feasible to keep them supplied indefinitely. Those areas will not be habitable for a year or more if ever. Trying to keep delivering supplies will only prolong the suffering and hamper infrastructure recovery efforts for the duration. You'd have to be 100% self-sufficient to survive any length of time in those mountains and the people begging for supplies a week after the event aren't capable of that by definition.

They're definitely planning to flood the mountains with immigrants. The mountains represent a strategic chokepoint between the US East and Central. If it's held by conservatives they can't genocide the population as effectively.
No I think they're wanting to flood the area with hard working huwhite volunteers and then TURBO GENOCIDE all of them during the relief effort.

You aren't wrong but there are two points working against your suggestion: a) those are a different breed of people who have lived that land for generations. You can't just take them away from it. And b) NC law allows property owners and their families to remain at their property regardless of a mandatory evacuation order. The State does not have the power to compel them to leave.

Sorry but no. If they'd been working the land for generations and knew how to survive they wouldn't require the modern conveniences they're on social media demanding. They have to leave. That was the lesson from Katrina. This is worse.

When does the snow start? A month? Then what?
