Garth Brooks Sued For Rape

It's always amusing to me the way "journalists" write stuff. "stepped out of the shower naked." Ism't that how everyone leaves a shower? Maybe a towel first. "He stepped out of the shower wearing only a towel..."

Why are you in the room? Why isn't it, "he left the bathroom naked" or "he entered the room naked."

Why was she in the bathroom why he was showering and why would then him being naked be unexpected.

I know streaming is gay and cringe but I'm too embarrassed to go to a record store and ask for Garth Brooks CDs.
Just sail the high seas. He's a douchebag undeserving of your dosh.

If someone steps out of the shower fully clothed, I'm immediately assuming they have a basement Overflowing with dead bodies.

I remember hearing this guy on the radio a lot when I was just a hatchling. I opened my first ever lego set in the car while one of his songs was on the radio, so it sort of trapped Mr. Brooks inside of one of my memories where he can't get out, ever. I always love sharing these little stories with you guys because I know you are all thinking, "why is he telling us this stuff?". I don't know either! My hands just move. Sometimes I think there is someone or something else controlling every single action that I take in life.

"Lego car driving noises"
She runs back down the hallway, and through the bedroom door
She reaches for the pistol kept in the dresser drawer
Tells the lady in the mirror, "He won't do this again"
'Cause tonight will be the last time she'll wonder where he's been
The thunder rolls, and the lightnin' strikes
Another love grows cold on a sleepless night
As the storm blows on out of control
Deep in her heart the thunder rolls

Garth Brooks is about to be shopping his music around to streaming services.

I think he may be the biggest music artist at this point whose catalog hasn't been made available via streaming...
I thought he once claimed he'd never allow his music to be available on streaming? I guess Garth had his accountant do the math, & realized how much money he's missing out on.

The article appears to be composed by chatgpt/a similar writing ai. Chatgpt always makes awkward obvious statements, like "taking a deep breath of oxygen, he opened the refrigerator and removed a cupcake".

Your username & icon is cats, yet you talk like you're a turtle 🤔 I am very much confused.

Literally.

It's not even like certain other artists who were hesitant about music streaming and resisted their music being put on Spotify or similar streaming platforms until the writing on the wall was obvious and they transferred over. All of those other artists still had their music up on their official YouTube channels, albeit in the form of garish and obnoxious music videos, atleast they were available.

Garth Brooks must employ a rather substantial lawfirm to do yearly reports where they go through YouTube every 12 months to send takedown requests on any of his songs because any reuploads are always from the last 5 months.

What's the point in wasting what I assume to be a substantial amount of money in legal fees just to fight a losing battle against people listening to your music online for free? People can already torrent your music if they want to, do you REALLY think someone is going to search for a Garth Brooks song, not find it on YouTube, then decide to buy a fucking CD Player and Original CD??
Garth reminds me of the never trumpers. It might have made sense to oppose him early on, much like many artists boycotting Spotify, but eventually you either needed to support Trump or become irellevent. While most trumpers, like musicians, came around to support Spotify and Trump, there were a handful of guys who held out forever and now pay the price, and Garth is one of them. Just give up the boycott, Garth. You are the only holdout left.

Ive been studying this topic for months, so let me explain. Garth let his music on Amazon Music, but he still claimed he would never put his music on Spotify, but plenty of people who claimed they would never support Spotify turned around like Neil Young. I just wish Garth would allow his music to be streamed.

I don’t believe this chick.
Garth was a pretty notorious philanderer back in the 90s. Ended up cheating on his wife with a few people, including Trisha Yearwood (whom he eventually married and apparently got on the straight and narrow with. He allegedly took his big sabbatical from performing/recording to spend time with his family and raise his kids.)

I'm somewhat skeptical of these claims, although there's a lot of details that should be verifiable.

Another story I read had him pushing for a threesome with this Jane Doe and his wife. Guessing it was consensual and then it was used as leverage for this lawsuit.
Nigga was the biggest act in music for much of the 90s. Nobody talks about him but he outsold all the grunge acts that we heard took music by storm. I think just about every one of his albums in the early and mid 90s sold 10+ million copies.

Yeah, Garth really spearheaded a resurgence in country music in the 90s. He was pretty acknowledged at the time, a country artist debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 was an incredible feat.

Dude is the last of a dying breed. I can't think of anyone alive today who has achieved as much as he did in terms of accolades/sales/etc. and is still able to churn out massive numbers when he goes out on tour.

He killed country music! He's a big part of why it's a bunch of talentless garbage, pop music now.

"In the docs, the woman claims Garth held her 5-foot-frame by her ankles and dangled her upside down as he penetrated her vagina, slamming his penis inside her so hard she felt as if she were breaking in two."

el oh el

Apparently women can just submit their 50 Shades fanfic to a court now and have it be treated seriously.

Country was pretty fucking dead in the 80s. Garth generated a bit of a resurgence. The 'garbage pop music' stuff has been an issue before Brooks ever showed up. Nashville as an overall entity is more of a problem with country music as a genre if you're a purist.

I'd argue that Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood did more to fuck up current year country music. Ditto guys like Big & Rich, Florida Georgia Line, etc.

You could argue Brooks kicked it all off (I don't really agree with it -- see my point about Nashville and pop country being an issue before he ever released an album), but dude respected his predecessors (eg, Chris LeDoux) and did a lot for the genre in general, which is more than you can say about a lot of these bozos in the industry today.

I grew up on George Strait and Randy Travis, a lot of stuff from the '70's as well. After Garth Brooks "took country music by storm", I found myself liking it less, and less. At this point, I can't even stand it unless it's real classic country, or even some Texas country.

Yeah, I enjoyed a lot of older country as well. Those guys, Travis Tritt, Dwight Yoakam, etc. too.

Modern country is definitely way more pop than it is country. There's a few gems here and there, but I lean more towards 'alt country' than anything if I'm in the mood for country stuff.
