Hurricane Helene / Invest 97L

Its worth pointing out that the National Flood Insurance program is even more fucked then health insurance. For obvious reasons private insurers won't touch that shit with a 10 foot pole. Not without significant government subsidies, due to the fact if you have a flood claim its almost certainly a total loss, and it would be a cascade of total losses across a massive area.

Of course even with the government subsidies there are significant premiums and you are essentially paying for something that you have negligible chances in theory of every benefitting from. Its a hard sell, and one that may need to be looked into.

what @Save the Loli said checks out with what I know & what the U.S learned from the project. If there is a program that "causes turbulence," then I wouldn't know, but honestly I just find it hard to believe they'd be able to service anything practical. The forces at play here are so fucking massive it's more like pissing into the pacific ocean, even with the most powerful microwave generators.
Not that the U.S wouldn't be interested in fielding something like this; the idea of shaping the weather, particularly in a military context, is absolutely something the U.S would be interested in & dump loads of R&D money into, but they just couldn't make it work.
They've been covering up and minimizing cloud seeding even though it's been in wide open active use for 100 years. Why do you think they would admit to something far greater?

Its basic aerodynamics, you don't have to control the whole stream. You can just use high and low pressure zones to change the direction of flow.

You're sounding a lot like the fringe people who, every weather disaster, go into social media comments (particularly under NWS announcements) and ramble about government cloud seeding leading to tornado outbreaks and high wind events without much evidence to substantiate those claims.

Now I'll admit, my understanding isn't the best, but from what little I do know having looked into it, cloud seeding does not work like you're suggesting it does.

I am willing to adjust this stance if you can provide solid evidence to the contrary.

All cloud seeding does is convert moist air in the atmosphere into rain. You are only changing the place rain is falling. It has immediate effects and other lesser lasting effects. Normal rich people regularly pay between 20k and 50k to have clear weather weddings. That's how basic it is.

Moving rainfall around can have significant effects on the overall weather system that would basically go unnoticed. Cities are heat islands, so you can change weather patterns by adjusting the rain on them. You are manipulating temperature differentials to have slight effects that add up over time. HAARP was literally just a giant microwave heating up a massive column of air. There are something like 40 of these "radar" stations all over earth.

I don't care if you change your mind or not, you can figure it out for yourself if you don't believe me.

Are the fucking retards from the community happenings thread gone yet? God I hope so.

Anyway, minor PSA, stay away from dams and areas in the flood zone downstream of dams in the region. Obviously there are dams that have failed and whatnot, but from what I've been told, even dams that didn't fail have been made significantly less stable due to the storms. Basically, the amount of erosion has been insane and a lot of these dams have had their foundations and anchor points severely eroded. Dam engineers deployed under EMAC as well as engineers from the Army Corps of Engineers are working on getting them safe again. The actual flood risk is very minor, however, as they are keeping the amount of water behind these dams very low for the duration of the repairs.

So, if we ignore all the Americans who already live in NC.... Is our government planning to dump a bunch of immigrants in a mud pit with bodies in trees, or are they gonna clean the place up first?
Just seems rude to put them in somewhere that just got smooshed by a hurricane.
What if the area is haunted now?
A lot of these imported niggers are extremely superstitious. If you told them that the spirits of those who died in the recent hurricane haunt the area, they just might fuck off on their own instead of waiting for Trump to deport them.

Anyone old enough to remember Katrina knows FEMA isn't malicious. Just retarded. Alot of the hysteria is starting to smack of Alex Jones tier "FEMA Covid concentration camps". Not really helpful.
Sadly, sufficiently advanced retardation is indistinguishable from malice, both in presentation, and effect.

No it's like pissing in a pond, you can see the waves propagate through the entire body of water. You are causing turbulence to affect change, not trying to create things out of nothing.
A pond is a much more stable body of water. The atmosphere isn't because a hurricane is drawing its heat from both the warm ocean and air masses. The turbulence you create is miniscule compared to the utter power in the atmosphere and oceans, therefore minimal to no effect.

This isn't cloud seeding, which nobody is covering up because it's public knowledge. They use it all the time in the US and China to ease drought you can look up the exact compounds they use. That also has the problem it's unreliable since they need far more chemicals to seed the clouds with, despite rain being orders of magnitude less atmospheric turbulence.

Urban heat islands are another good example. But they trigger weak convection storms and rain showers and can divert or attract rain depending on the wind and season. They don't steer supercells away, let alone a hurricane. Florida has lots of tarmac and urban heat islands, but this clearly has minimal effect on hurricanes (or tornadoes). You'd need orders of magnitude more energy. These radar stations don't have that, because where's the enormous network of power stations? There are no 15 GW+ microwave arrays that can output even 1% of a hurricane's power, therefore there are no networks of weather control. They probably tried and came to the same conclusion that it just isn't feasible without enormous amounts of energy.

The guys of American Thinker posted an interesting rant about Hurricane Helene's aftermath.

Coffee and Cable TV in Helene-ravaged NC

By M. Walter

My husband and I live in Western North Carolina. We are among the inconvenienced, not the devastated. Our family and property, thank God, are fine. We’re just out of power/water now for seven days now. The storm hit last Friday. As I write this it is the following Thursday. Yesterday we got back from spending three nights in an otherwise standard-issue, major-chain hotel in Charlotte, made glorious by having power. We got the very last reservation they had, and the most they could give us was those three nights. To be clear, Charlotte is seventy-five miles east of our house, which is thirty miles south from the worst devastation, and we were lucky to get what we got! Every other place we checked which was closer was either booked or without power.

Notably frustrating is that we just built our house two years ago, with a brand-new, whole house generator (this New England girl has spent too many freezing winter nights by the fire without power to go without one ever again) and we found out less than a week before the storm hit that the entire motor needed to be replaced. What ridiculous luck, huh? We’ve got a big, nearly new, useless brick in the backyard.
Now that we are back in our house, still without power/water, waiting, waiting, it occurred to me that typing on my now fully charged laptop about what we’ve seen and experienced might be illuminating, but perhaps for a reason you’d not anticipate: we got a chance to watch cable television, which we never, ever do anymore as we cut the cord right after Fox called Arizona for Biden in November 2020 and we’ve never looked back. (If you’re wondering how I got this piece to American Thinker for publication, I simply found a spot with a good cell signal and tethered my phone to my laptop as a wifi hotspot and voila.)

FEMA? Being corrupt and useless?

The same FEMA that denied funding to families who lost literally everything in harvey?

The same FEMA that did jack shit while the texas national guard did all the heavy lifting?

The same FEMA that constantly says they need more funding, but still somehow never have money to give to disaster victims?

Fuck em, defund em, they're a drain on funds

EDIT: typos

I saw a lot of this recently with Francine. Even if that whole-house generator had been working perfectly what do they think it runs on, mouse farts? Natural gas, maybe diesel. That would've worked if the utilities survived or until your fuel supply ran out, so maybe three days. In the South since Ida there has been a big push in these whole-house generators tying directly into the local natural gas utilities so guess what happened when everyone turned them all on at the same time a few weeks ago for Francine? No more gas pressure. The system wasn't designed to supply 10,000 whole-house generators so barely any of them ran for an hour. These people have to leave. It's going to be snowing there soon and then they're all going to be fucked.

They're definitely planning to flood the mountains with immigrants. The mountains represent a strategic chokepoint between the US East and Central. If it's held by conservatives they can't genocide the population as effectively.

that doesn't make any sense, if there is a big bad plan it involves depopulating mountains. whoever goes and lives in mountains either dies or turns into the based american taliban, it's the nature of mountains to resist central control.

replace the hwite people up there with the blackest darkest of haitians and in two or thre generations you just get what you have in inland jamaica - completely ungovernable mountain people.

I don't know NC super well but I know it a little, refugees have been being inserted in large quantities straight into Charlotte and the Triangle since the Obama administration. That's where NC refugee resettlement is happening, into the pre-existing bughives. If there's a plan, the plan is to make any self-sufficiency impossible, not to just swap out ungovernable white Appalachian Protestants for ungovernable voodoo cat eaters. Or ungovernable Laotians - there's a weirdly large amounts of literal Laotian hill tribespeople in NC who already know how to scratch and would revert back to a lowtech life very fast if they got dumped into the appalachians.

Some terrible advice that nobody should listen to.

And don't ever retrofit old AM frequency controllers so that you aren't easily spotted on the 2.4 and 5 GhZ bands.
COORDINATE CHANNELS BEFORE TAKEOFF GODDAMN IT.

who aren't white and pose no threat to the central government. if the mountains are just darkies eating cats nobody gives a fuck.

that's exactly backwards and it's one of the reasons I'm pretty optimistic about the future in the medium to long term

if there's a legit long term plan along these lines it's being run by people who look at lawabiding whitey who just wants to be left alone and see THREAT but think they can indefinitely prevent an actual north american taliban from arising

white mountain people lose against the feds over and over and over, white mountain people are no threat to central power whatsoever. if we were ruled by people who actually wanted to rule they'd be sooooo happy to funnel white people into rural self-sufficiency because white people are perfectly happy like that and when the feds come and say sorry there's coal under your land we need to get at it, hey we need to spy on everything you do because smugglers, hey you need to follow all these retarded rules and let inspectors in your house to prove you're compliant, most of us obey and/or move.

put less rational less able to plan more violent people in the mountains you get an actual threat to your evil

nobody is putting refugees in the mountains though anyway, the closest they'll get to any mountain anything is Greensboro.

Just a heads up, Hurricane Helene Airlift Relief will start trucking, as well as Samaritan’s Purse. SP has already started a field hospital in Linville. They’re still doing airlifts as well. PLEASE continue to support them monetarily if possible.

Also, Metrolina Kiwis, the Concord Mills Walmart collections area for Operation Airdrop is STILL open today.
