like all holier-than-thou "allies," I'm sure Juan has a few things he'd like to keep hidden, and maybe that's why he's trying to stay in the good graces of the trannies. been a bit too touchy at conventions perhaps? we'll find out eventually

I mean, it's the largest open source game engine with 5 major releases and got a huge boost when Unity went nutty. I don't think it's that odd that people on the Open Source thread would know about it.

Yes, most of the people covering this don't care about game engines. It's mostly just the same culture war vultures that circle around the new drama like a fresh kill.

And you brought them here. You slathered yourself in honey and ran around screaming around the forest, and now you wonder why the bees are stinging you. And your solution to this is to keep putting honey on yourself to own the bees. If the people you hired kept to your jobs, only putting up gay little f(l)ags and making sterile little tweets, nobody would have cared. Instead, you dragged this whole situation onto yourself, and get everybody riled up for your little cause, stabbing the back of everybody who supported you monetarily and by using and developing your engine.

And the result? The reward of this whole campaign that was started for quite literally no reason? I now think less of whatever cause you were trying to pedal. I see the things that you try to support even more as "that shit that constantly pisses all over what I like." I see the people who bring this shit up like walking tumors, who suck out and ruin what they touch. And going by the comments on the comments of videos talking about this, everyone else pretty much thinks the same.

"Too innocent for this world" go fuck yourself with an iron skewer.

I was using the LOVE engine to play Never7 since its such a classic visual novel and it was ported over using it. Wasn't aware of their community having a reputation like that.

Oh, I definitely wouldn't call it a reputation. I was just describing my personal impression of the community from around 2019-2021. They weren't CoC-obsessed dictators tolerating only their own in-group or anything like that, they just heavily leaned into the "Love" angle when presenting themselves, always overemphasizing the social aspect and sense of community bordering on friendship. It's an IMHO decent framework that just chooses to constantly walk around with a "FREE HUGS!" sign, basically.

Back in the day, there were also frequent discussions around whether or not LÖVE/Love2D's naming conventions for modules should stay sex-positive, as they had (or still have) modules like "boipushy", "AnAL" or "YaoUI" featured as official recommendations.

The Godot/ReDot split was inevitable either way. People were planning to split off. Turns out this was their last straw.

is joanna rutkowska (the founder of Qubes OS) a tranny? i suspected so when i first saw that the project was founded by a woman, but then i found this picture.

i looked into it myself but couldn't find any hard evidence besides one paper by jan rutkowski now being attributed to joanna rutkowska like it says on the attached picture.

there are talks from both jan and joanna on youtube but the quality is too bad to really tell if it's the same person for sure and as unlikely as it is, joanna actually passes as a woman.

as little as all of this really matters, i want to be sure that unicorns are not real, and if joanna is a tranny that brings the number of female security researchers from a grand total of 1 down to a more realistic 0.

does anyone know more?

IIRC there was also allegedly a woman on the TenDRA compiler project* that I disbelieve but couldn't find the evidence to debunk.
