The latest short pretty much confirms what I guessed earlier, Viv or someone on the writing team has clearly deduced that some people want to see goofy irreverent antics and not gay melodrama and have tooled the shorts to tap into this demand.
Why she had to create a separate series to deliver what the show originally promised instead of just delivering on the show's premise is beyond me.
Its especially ironic because helluva boss was supposed to be the goofy antics with no/less drama spinoff to hazbin hotel already. Now it needs their own comedy oriented spinoff bc the original became too dramatic.
Helluva Boss 2: The Helluva Boss Killing Team.

Go figure. At least she recognized that on time. I must recognize that and give props to her & the team.
I can't blame you. Anytime I get into a rant related to Stolas, I imagine it as Stella doing the rambling instead because of how much vitriol I have against this dude. Makes re-reading my post a bit humorous.
I like your posts, and in some ways you are Stella's fan (and I don't say that accusingly).

You're free to accuse me since you're right. She's one of the few characters in Vivziepop's broken yaoi world I give more than two shellcasings about, and the fandom's gaslit hatred of her only increased my appreciation and sympathy for the cluster-B personality goetia. Woman deserves better, along with like—every other character minus Stolas. He needs an entire character rewrite for me to even mildly tolerate him.

Stella represents us kiwis. We all gather around and bow around her presence.

All jokes aside, I like your pfp. It's the background for my phone this month.

A while back I saw some storyboard leaks for the season 2 finale on tumblr…and did not save it. But I found it again on YouTube. Features Octavia verbally tearing into Stolas before leaving to be with her mother and uncle.

I'm pretty sure the storyboards were shared here a while back. Am looking forward to seeing this in its final form since one of the lines Via used in the callout was also used in the trailer.

Ironically enough, I like to believe she is like "reality", the character from South Park season 15 I believe? Who looks all nasty (and almost like a jew), yet is supposed to be a wake-up call and reveal people for who they are. Stella, if she was done right, would reveal Stolas for the shitstain he is, as well as everyone in hell- pretty much. And we would be supposed to hate her because of that, because she would say NIGGER, and call people FAGGOTS, and worse: she would say KIKENIGGERFAGGOTS - and this is why she's a horrible character and you must hate her! (And she is a fat shamer! Oh, the horror!)

Yet perhaps her classisism/"racism"/prejudice over imps has some basis: maybe she went through a life threatening situation, maybe the imps do hate the royal caste back, who the fuck knows?

Stella represents us kiwis. We all gather around and bow around her presence.
This. I'm sure she'd sit back, relax and have a lot of fun watching these shorts. As I said, I am not watching most of the media, but it seems the writing team is getting things rather right with them - and I think she'd have fun with them.

Please be it so, be it so, it will be a huge shitshow lol. But we would need to root for him so "oh no uwu sad boiiiiii". Just so people know: "boi" is "ox/oxen" in portuguese. LoL

So I was given more context about the gay Birdman (Stolas?). People tried to explain it in a positive light, but this is what I got:

He constantly cheated on his wife, abandoned his daughter with the wife when they split up, coerced the imp guy (Blasco?) into sleeping with him against his will, refuses to admit any of this is his fault, and is generally a terrible creature.

And the series tries to paint this all as sympathetic because the imp he bribed/blackmailed into fucking him is developing Stockholm Syndrome.

THIS is the character the deranged Genderspecial fans are going nuts over? The fuck?

Yes that is all correct. Welcome to the thread.

BAHAHAHA, that's EXACTLY what it is!

Anyone outside the fandom's echo chamber can take just a few minutes looking at Stolas' character and going, "This is the character people are defending to their grave? Even Professor Callaghan from Big Hero 6 had fewer defenders than this!"

Also, the character's name is Blitzo. The O is silent. But I prefer calling him Blitzo since it sounds better than just Blitz imo.

I'm glad to know these people failed at coercing you into trying to sympathize with this unbearable excuse of a teacher's pet. No matter how hard they try to justify it, no matter how much they attempt to put him in a positive light, no matter HOW MANY TIMES they try to justify him abandoning his daughter and leaving her to fend her issues alone just so he could get his cloaca wet—he's still a cheating weezer that Vivziepop successfully made sure people fawned over because it was the only way they could continue giving people an excuse to watch this lousy drama show that'd make Hallmark movies seem like a Martin Scorsese film.

Ah... went a bit MATI there.

No, no, you see, Stella was a monstrous bitch from the start, so Stolas was 100% justified to cheat on her!

Stolas isn’t the best father for Octavia, but as Loona puts it, he’s trying his best, so Octavia should stick by his side!

Blitzo stole the book from Stolas, so it’s less bad when Stolas coerces him into the full moon deal during a gunfight!

Stolas DOES admit fault…of coming across too strong! Please ignore Season 1 and his other problems and faults since we’re supposed to feel so bad for him.

In a perfect world, Stolas would remain the antagonist he was originally intended to be, and we'd eventually get TOTAL OWLFAG DEATH. But alas, this is the same author that wants us to believe the First Man, the guy who permakills rapists, pedophiles, serial killers, cannibals and other assorted pieces of shit is supposed to be the bad guy, and even if he is, in a series all about redemption, this man is denied any by being declared as gone for good.

That’s kind of the thing I’ve noticed with western writers in general in recent times, they tend to make characters who do horrible things not have consequences and sort of paint them in the light of being “innocent, misunderstood etc.” so they can get away with their actions, and we’re suppose to like them and accept them; yet they come off as some of the most unlikeable and obnoxious characters. And then when they write characters your supposed to hate (like Adam, or a recent case from a movie; Arthur Fleck/The Joker), it has the exact opposite reaction then intended, which is hilarious that the characters you’d expect the least amount of people to like, end up being the most popular.

I get it’s Hell, so you can pretty much do whatever bad and get away with it. But it still fucks with me to this day how anyone could idolize Stolas and call him a “good character” when he’s done so much terrible shit because he’s a degenerate fag. Not only did him becoming a main character ruin the show, but also I’m kinda just sick of seeing these characters who do things and are instantly forgiven/redeemed for their actions because writers try to paint them in a sympathetic light. He was fine as a side-character or just something to give an explanation as to how Blitzo and the others can travel to earth and do hitman jobs, but making him a recurring character and making one of the central plots about gay fujo shit still baffles my mind.

You can make an objectively "evil" character sympathetic but you really need some reason. Vivz seems to want everyone to love Stolas despite everything he does being pure narc bullshit.

You're not supposed to hate the Joker of the Joaquin Phoenix movie, though. He may not be particularly admirable but he had legitimate beefs. And fuck those Wall Street guys he murdered, they were literally sex pesting up a storm before he did and were about to beat him up before he pulled a Bernie Goetz on them. (And they couldn't carry a tune to save their lives.)

Bit of an autistic speculation but wanted to see what you guys think of it.
I know it’s been said that Adam is probably dead for good. BUT if he comes back I’d like it to be in a sort of Ziggy Stardust character arc. With Adam waking up in hell and pursuing a career as a rock star down there only for his ego to cause his downfall in some way. Or you could even spin it with the Vees taking advantage of him and using his songs to push an agenda against the hotel and controlling him in some way. With the end point to both possibilities being he gives up the hedonistic lifestyle to seek redemption(this could be a route to introduce some conflict with Lucifer and Charlie too if we get a less biased view of the whole Garden of Evil thing) to get back into heaven. I got this stuck in my head after listening to a bunch of Bowie. Specifically these lyrics inspired me:
Making love with his ego
Ziggy sucked up into his mind (ah)
Like a leper messiah
When the kids had killed the man
I had to break up the band

Pretty much this ^^^^^^^^^

And I have a question, as I've been scouring "Xatter" (Twitter) for people that claim the fandom is "allergic to happiness" (gee I wonder why) while seeing more shit of the cartoon - especially in later episodes in season 1 and I've got to ask: What is it when Lucifer that says that Adam is in "his house" that forbids the former (APART FROM UPSETTING CHARLIE) from doing this: (Oh hey look, my weekly Craplastor hate)
1728233560591.png
Sure, you got Charlie going "Daaaaaaaaaad!!!!!!!" like someone wih daddy issues potentially severing ties with Lucifer, unlike with Adam, and he can't say "I'm your father I know what's best for you. So be quiet." As he was absent - as I've noticed that the writers are proud of making Lucifer an emasculated, pathetic man. Yet I wanted to ask Kiwis (such as @didelphigina @AnOminous ) how would you fix this thing? It seems either Lucifer becomes - ahem - "too based" and flies too close to the sun and becomes a villain, or by becoming pathetic he becomes a "good guy". It seems the writers cannot make him a good, yet firm person without making him a villain - and seems to be a running theme with general masculine characters in 21st century in general...

My guess would be him becoming something more like grabbing him being more unphased, calm and collected (much like Lilith - perhaps) and in their first meeting going "Listen, I'm on this planet far longer than you, deer boy. If you think you'll best me, I'll make each second in hell seem like a torment that seems like it will last for years. So I hope you are treating my daughter very, very good. For your own sake. Unless you want nightmares while staying awake. Ta-ta!" I don't know, but I hear of nuns/priests of the Catholic church seeing visions of hell describing that mere seconds in the real Hell that each second in there seems like hours of pain.

Maybe he could attack the only person whom Alastor only loved - his mother. Have a barganing chip and a berserk button on the radio demon and finally see him go apeshit, but only a reverse Husk scenario where Lucifer is unphased: "I've seen the real face of God, and you are only a slug compared to it. Nice try." as he slashes his tentacles with ease, and puts him in his place.

What do you people think? Bear in mind, this isn't Lucifer as a villain necessarily, but putting Alastor in his place. "New boss in town" style.

God, Alastor really is the new Flippy/Flipqy part... 4 I think?

Stolas was at one point sympathetic in my opinion; way back in Season 1, episode 2. When he sings the lullaby to Octavia, the words make it sound like he is this millennia demon that knows his time is almost up because he can read in the stars what the future is going to be. It's not really an excuse, but it does explain how he might feel; this immortal godlike being, that has been living for ages on end, who is going to die soon.

And we can argue that he tries to work this out; taking Octavia to a theme park she loved to go to as a kid because that was when everything was fine. And he brings Blitzø along, because in his warped little mind, he thinks it will all work out. But it obviously doesn't. He can't have both things. He has to choose which path to take for the rest of his living days; his family, or this fleeting pleasure.

But then season 2 comes along, and pretty much throws that all away. Now Stolas is is his fucking thirties; he met Blitzø when they were children and it was love at first sight; and he's not going to die anytime soon because Stolitz is endgame. No longer will he have to face the consequences of his actions, because he can have both the things he want. Because Stolas "deserves" this happy ending. He obviously worked hard for this. Look how much he has grown.

If what you post about the season 2 finale is true, than Stolas has descended lower than a cuck. A feat I thought impossible.
