It's not really an excuse, but it does explain how he might feel; this immortal godlike being, that has been living for ages on end, who is going to die soon.
Then we find he's just a spoiled brat who is so young he and Blitzo were childhood friends or "friends" not every long ago.
But then season 2 comes along, and pretty much throws that all away. Now Stolas is is his fucking thirties; he met Blitzø when they were children and it was love at first sight; and he's not going to die anytime soon because Stolitz is endgame.
You can have evil characters who are still charming and likeable but you need a reason for it. Just being a gay narcissistic asshole isn't one of them. Narcissism is one of the least charming traits a person can have.

And I have a question, as I've been scouring "Xatter" (Twitter) for people that claim the fandom is "allergic to happiness" (gee I wonder why) while seeing more shit of the cartoon - especially in later episodes in season 1 and I've got to ask: What is it when Lucifer that says that Adam is in "his house" that forbids the former (APART FROM UPSETTING CHARLIE) from doing this: (Oh hey look, my weekly Craplastor hate)

This should be the reaction of Lucifer the second he catches wind that Alastor has basically blank check deal with Charlie.

I was sent this, and I'm fucking dead 🤣💀

This base picture has to be a piece of fanart because of how ludicrous it is, but at the same time, I can’t say with 100% certainty that it is not a some leaked screen shot, which is very concerning. 90% certainty ain’t that bad, but still.

Is this a thing in the fanart community BTW? Making Stolas this absurdly weak and pathetic just to salvage this sorry excuse for ship and make him just a poor little princess that Blitz needs to save? The demon that can turn people to stone just by looking at them? The one that caught his wife’s hand before she could hit him without so much as flinching meaning that the threat did not illicit a fight or flight response. The demon that isn’t even in his final form apparently?

Someone please explain why this pairing is popular. I feel like I am going insane because by all metrics on the whole Power imbalance and all the consent and any other MeToo talking point everyone that would like this show wants to adhere to, this should be hated. (I know this ain’t made for anyone right of center-left, so you know the type of person that does love this, and by their metrics, this should be reviled)

What, because it’s gay it’s ignorable? Or is it like with India and the Cows, where all gay ships are sacred, thus none may be butchered? Do the people that ship it at least admit that the show and the relationship is garbage, so they retreat to their fanfics to make it ‘better’, or is this how they legit view canon? I know the answer to that last one, but still. I would love to be in their minds to understand the thought process.

I swear, part of me is hoping that Blitzo and Verosika work things out and get back together, just because the firestorm it would cause online. Could you imagine?

Side note: Thinking about it, Stolas would be one of those soy-boys that acts tough, but, the moment he encounters resistance that’s equal to or greater than his ability, he cries victim. So, very accurate depiction. 10/10

If I had a nickel for every couple in this universe that had the less powerful character almost always protecting the more powerful character, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

BTW, this is the other couple I'm referring:

I am so thankful you clarified who you were talking about, because I legit forgot Charlie and her were a thing in universe. Remembering the Pilot, I honestly thought Alastor was going to be the love interest mostly because they had some chemistry in their limited screen time together. Then again I also thought he was going to be a fun character and we all know how that ended up.

This is perfect. Thank you. Even if that was added later, maybe that's a symbollic piece of why people like Stool's ass, because he's a soy ass piece of shit.

I'll try: I think it's because he's elloquent and has a soft voice. "Oh Blitzy, I would love to have you over my bed and have a session of erotic sodomy, just the two of us, together for the whole night."

And that, for some reason, makes teenage girls and young adult women... get rather stimulated so to speak. Don't ask me why. And since we live at an age where apparently you have to make men "pathetic" and "weak" to make them good and relatable, Stool's Ass is the perfect candidate for that. You see, the same happens with Lucifer - if he had a firmer hand and actually got things done, wasn't a "deadbeat dad" and more present in Charlie's life, it seems he would be a villain, not a protagonist. So the show(s) of nowadays rely on "weak, pathetic men" who may or may not have good relationships with their offspring, but are weak in pulse and have strange deviancy in their character. Stool's Ass is almost like that, except he's a soft boy who needs protection and crap. The exception is that he isn't all "ooooo booohohooooo I'm all defenseless!!". Thankfully.
Strangely enough, Blitzo being all spaztatic and an asshole (but with an atitude) somehow has a heart but is seen as a massive ass by the audience. Don't ask me why, it just is. Maybe because he gets shit done and people dislike this dynamic. Yet you have Millie, and yet she also does, and... whatever? Who knows?

I think it's sad that this show isn't exploring deeper themes like combat or potential attacks by heaven, or even Hell denizens attempting to get back to Heaven for perceived injustices. would be fun to see guns in holy bullets. I discuss more below in spoilers.

The shitshow of having a homo pairing only to end with a hetero in the end? A reverse Korra and Asami, lol.

Final form & discussion things below:
Funny thing, I've been wondering about this thing about "final form" you mentioned and such of the Ars(e) Goetia. I joke about having Spawn, Anti Spawn, Scorpion, Noob Saibot and such, yet I understand this cartoon isn't for me. It's just that I really wanted to see someone rock the shop apart in Hell and cause trouble just so I could see these creatures show a different side on them and see the devils show a different side. Have succubi and incubi attempting to drain life energy through different means, like soul sucking in combat (A-la Shang Tsung). What about the royalty? They become black masses with eyes? What can stop them? A cross? Why no one in Heaven have guns coated in... IDK, holy bullets? A holy bullet right between Stolas' brain would stop him for good? Something from the Constantine comics as influence?

Viv is really letting things be stuck on low brow worldbuilding/plot when it comes to this version of Hell. Like others mentioned, it's basically Red Los Angeles for sinners in the Pride ring for HH while we have gay shenanigans in the other rings in HB. HB's premise promised to be an attempt to rectify that by having hellborn kick shit up and kill people on Earth, but now that's relegated to fricking shorts, the times we do have demons causing trouble on Earth is sucubi spreading STDs or peddling drugs. C'mon Viv, you barely showed a tiny bit of cultish activity. Where's the demon summonings, the deals for power? No wonder Adam seemed so OP if this was the level of demons he had to contend with.

I only watched the pilot for Hazbin Hotel. Alastor was the "Radio Demon", right? He seemed like the only interesting character on there. Cool voice, cool design, mysterious, possibly hostile motives. What happened to him!?
He still has a few of those traits but comes across as an edgelord, funniest thing is his ass getting kicked by Adam

Honestly, Viv not being a weird occultist actually sucks because she's very unwilling to do anything interesting with the fact that the story takes place in literal hell. I always roll my eyes when detractors call her a Satanist because a Satanist would probably have more ideas than gay soap opera drama.

It's too bad. I liked the Stolas who transformed into an actual eldritch horror to save Blitz in I.M.P. But no, we have this fuckboi instead.

It would have seriously helped to have read some Dante, some C.S. Lewis, actually read the Ars Goetia and some Satanic shit, hey, maybe even some actual Bible.

It honestly is a damn shame. Could have gotten some real interesting worldbuilding and story but noooooo. Instead we’ve got furries, red LA, and “reclaiming Hell for da qweers”.
I’m sorry, I still can’t get over that last bit. Why would you want to reclaim a place of eternal suffering and damnation? Okay, I have a pretty damn good idea why, but it still doesn’t sound great no matter how you put it.

Glad to have made you enjoy my summary.

In the parts I highlighted on your reply: Sure, LA for HH sounds chaotic and such, but can be shown if they explore Earth in Season 2 (which is a promise). Show stuff happening, Lucifer interacting with crap, shapeshift. What happens if someone calls Alastor a mestizo? Can he just become a 50-foot thing just to go "say that again, kike!!!!111" Or will that instantly call the attention of the angels to stop it and then erase the memories of people from Earth - Men in Black style?

The idea of Helluva Bullshit is excellent: see other crap at hell AND explore other people. Even if you have "sexy" incubi and succubi, I think they lost an extremely good opportunity to show "Wait, you think Verosika looks this hot? She's grotesque in fact, she just does this to seduce people, like the Better than Blitzo guy who just so happened to dance with Stool's Arse. Boy, we got you good!". And yes, fucking STDs which the hellspawn have to watch over for and peddling narcotics and maybe more. Why doesn't that get the attention of other organizations other than C.H.E.R.U.B and D.H.O.R.K.S.? Hell Slayers, where they get shit done and shoot the shit out of hellspawn, maybe even killed Loona's parents after they themselves did acts of terror on Earth - a justified killing.

And yes, it bothers me so much the angels of HH not using firearms, knowing the plothole where devils in HB use firearms. OK, so in HB - it exists angels who use firearms, and in HH, no one does it? Or will firearms be introduced in HH season 2? Why am I asking this question? Why do we care? Shouldn't we be more bothered about how will that red fucking imp shove his genitalia inside that irritating owl and get the happy ending?

Mini-rant: I would love a fan-game for Hazbin/Helluva, where it's Mortal Kombat in all but name. Execute fatalities on the cast and shit after defeating them, just so I could see all the great fatalities you could do on Stolas. Yes, I wrote that, give me a hat.

Starting to get flashbacks from Game of Thrones Season 8. Not really good sign, lol. But yeah, maybe expanding upon the evil aspects would have been nice. Maybe even show how the most powerful characters have powers and weaknesses.
