Reading the single dad posts here reminded me of one from my hometown. Technically he did do better with this daughter than her mother, but that's only because the bar was on the floor due to the mother being a narcissistic hardcore junkie who eventually ran off completely with her new lover. The dad himself was a stoner and alcoholic. Surprisingly enough his daughter made it to adulthood both unmolested* and without having made direct contact with any (hard) drugs. Unfortunately she became both very spoiled and kinda troubled anyway as a result of her dad being the "lax to the point of being too lax" kind of single dad.

She now has 3 young kids of her own, and you can tell they were either accidents or pushed onto her by her moid boyfriend because she yells at them and insults them all the time, her favorite victim being her son who suuurely won't have any issues with women and/or authority figures later in life stemming from that.
