I checked some of the profiles - they do not seem like fake profiles at all, just didn't have the flavour of the usual fake reviews/profiles.

Hey, my mother was the same when it came to my father and his outbursts. I never understood why she didn't stop him from beating the shit out of me and just stood there, watching, or sometimes even leaving the room; if she was scared, if she didn't want to anger (and potentially lose) him or what it was.
