If anything, it looks more and more like he was able to be a shapeshifter in a way where he pretends to think he was over the core as to who was the appropriate targets to be edgy over, but wanted to get out when the demonetization tactics were going to sink his channel into possibly getting strikes on it.

To put it short, he was never really “edgy”; he was just able to be a chameleon and tried to get out when the time was right. Instead, he just placated and turned into a more boring creator of a “safe edgy” person on social media.

It's just sad at this point. That unboxing wasn't even watchable. Our boy has had his life force sucked out of him.
And I was wrong about the Maximum Damage podcast. I thought they'd drop to ~5K views per episode and they're sub 4K per episode now.

Props to their jannies though. Those YT comment sections are spic and span! Nothing but love and support! That is just fantastic!

It was just a "too cool and edgy to care about anything" type persona he had developed. People loved to say this about him at the time but frankly I don't see it. He did look very frustrated and lost by late 2016 which is coincidentally when he started dating Anisa, but not outright depressed. The only genuinely depressed Idubbbz we've seen so far is the current one.

I really don’t see this lasting much longer. I have a feeling they’ll end this within a month. Anisa seems sedated and isn’t even trying, watching this makes me think she used to actually try as much as Anisa can. Ian is being autisticly controlling over dumb shit and is actually the annoying one. Dane doesn’t seem to know why he’s even there.
