Noticed this livestream of coast.

There's quite a gaggle of people at the top right one doing selfies.

Yes lets bring our 2 young children to the 20 fucking foot wall of waves, very smart.
I fucking hope they get swept away.

Yeah, but I live in the Rich part of Europe, where forest fires are rare.

The rest of the world is on fire, being blown away by hurricanes and dealing with earthquakes, tornadoes, and so on. Well, it gets kind of cold, so I might have to wear my warm jacket instead of my summer jacket. It is a good jacket, but it is too warm.
Don’t get complacent. These hurricanes, as they peter out crossing the Atlantic, bring torrential amounts of rain. The southern states of the US getting blown away can mean flash flooding in Europe a week or two later.

Could you try and wrangle up some possums? Are they legal to grab in Florida? I'm sure like 4 or 5 would eat most of the snails.
I've seen them in my area but there's also shit that eats them, though luckily I'm not out in the woods enough that the list of possum predation species includes 'the locals'.

Maybe Milton will blow the snails off my house, who knows. :story:
Fucking insane people holy shit
:c
Nah just FL people. I rode my bike around as a kid during a cat 3 to go to my buddy's house because he still had electricity.

Alright so a basic thing to do In a hurricane is to close all doors inside to minimize the chance of the wind getting in and lifting roofs. Anything else besides blocking windows I can do? I have water and food and meds
Steel storm shutters for your windows are really helpful, or so I've heard. Failing that, board them up.

What kind of shelter qualifies as hurricane proof.
There are companies that make these little waterproof orbs with chairs in them for that kind of thing and/or tsunamis.

The idea is they float safely around the flooded area and are easy to spot by rescue parties IIRC. They're also expensive and take up a bit of space though.
