I love the way Mr. Hardin writes. His footnotes are also part of the fun.

I found his response very compelling, but I suspect the court will coddle Russ's fraudulent false representation.
You’re not filing false claims with the court!

If Russ committing actual, literal perjury is just brushed aside and this farce of a case is allowed to continue, I think I'm going to start looking into leaving the US, because holy shit that means the legal system has completely failed.

Seriously though, if this judge has any sense of how the law is supposed to work (which, granted, past decisions put that idea into serious consideration), he'll throw this case into the trash where it belongs. I'd say he should also hit Greer with contempt charges, but I'm not nearly optimistic enough to entertain that thought.
The only reason the case has survived as long as it has is because the appeals court kicked back down after the copyright lawyers provided Greer with free representation.

It has been speculated in this thread that the judge is giving way more leniency to Greer to prevent the case from being appealed again.

I think in Russell's mind, because he told Hardin to never email him and he only consents to motions etc, he and Hardin can now ONLY negotiate the schedule through motions instead of private emails!
Hardin should email him anyways and then Greer tries to file a restraining order. I'd love to see that come in front of a judge.

Though I do think this is Russ’s thot pattern it would have been much more believable if he had clearly marked DRAFT on the document ….

You guys realize, with Russ confirming he has a account here, that he has likely gone to this thread to get his rocks off watching you guys doompost about this lawsuit? He gets all the dopamine he wants watching you guys suffer.
So did Melinda. She got banned and killed her husband. Now she kills bees.

That's actually a good question for the higher ups around here.
Greer has committed perjury when he was instructed move this case forward or else. Is this not cause to have this whole thing scrapped? If the judge accepts the filing, perjury and all, is that not cause for something to raise their hand and say Hi, excuse me what the fuck is happening here?
this isn't the kind of thing that arises to actionable perjury and will be hand-waved away as being a fuckup, particularly since he immediately admitted as such and it would never have worked out any other way. I think it's potentially explainable through stupidity.

Alternatively, and more likely: he knowingly skipped the correct steps because he wanted to put a schedule in front of the court ASAP- asking forgiveness instead of for permission is right in line with his legal 'practice.' He did this before with the venue change where he completely ignored a deadline and then jizzed multiple motions out only when the judge ruled against his interests and he was called out for being late, expecting that he could ignore any consequences (turns out he was right). He figures whatever the court thinks of his "dumpster fire of a life" being good cause (or not) it will just consider the topic no-harm, no-foul as long as a proposed schedule is staring it in the face.

Ok so this begs this question
Does a retard with a paralegal diploma (which is as good as an actual lawyer, if you'll recall) really not know how to submit a schedule and honestly thought he can just file utter bullshit and opposing council will clean it up for him?
or, as Null suggests, is he fucking the system to make it so fucking aggravating to deal with him that everyone involves just handwaves his shit away and does it for him, to the detriment of the defendant and the lawscape of America as a whole?

Yes. He's pretending to be retarded (in this instance) because pretending to be retarded has always gotten him his way in the past. Going all the way back to his kill list at school "I didn’t know they would take that seriously," in a post-Columbine world.

I think he is also actually retarded, but cunning enough to think he can fool people.

He's been successfully doing exactly that for 4 fucking years; that is, raising this exact question. Whether that's due to idiocy or purposeful neglect is up for the court to decide. So far they've decided it's just because he's just stupid enough to fuck it all up, so why would he change tactics now?

Fiery determination? Was he playing undertale or something instead of writing?

Russ might finally prove that there is such a thing as optimal retardation. He knows just enough to be a menace while being pitiable enough to get away with his menace behavior.

Let us not forget he did this also in his suit against Ariana Grande. The hearing was held, Russ didn't show up, Skordas said "this is a stupid waste of time, make Greer pay me", the judge dismissed the case and awarded costs. Then Russ stumbled in like 40 minutes late or whatever it was, and the judge un-dismissed the case and let Russ do his schtick. He then lost again, but apparently the lesson he's drawn from the US court system is that the best time to present his case is after he's been ruled against.
