Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

got myself commander magmatron.
i like him a lot, but the problem is that my 3 year old daughter likes to play with animals, and she likes the "big ugly bird" so much that i never get a chance to get him into combined mode to display untill she is bored of it.

edit: caught her trying to chew on his wings, shoukd have known she would try doing it because i did it myself as a kid too and they are soft plastic.

Got some old Rescue Bots pre-K flashcards from a liquidation store. Gonna buy a laminator to make some bookmarks. Might be a new opportunity to sell some up-cycled TF goods.

Might bite the bullet and watch TF1 with my brother later next week too, if it's still in my theater that is. He used to be into TF, so it's funny how things like this pass on to me eventually.

APCToys Prime line is coming to my place soon. Starting with Soundwave.

I'm always happy to see fandom appreciation for Rescue Bots! I just wish all the toys weren't baby toys because they have some great designs, so I'm glad that Legacy has been releasing Rescue Bots toys. It would be really nice if they had a rescue-based Transformers theme with more sophisticated toys, sort of like Machine Robo Rescue.

That comic set up so many great ideas for crossover figs.

Retro carded Bumblebee and Gears look nice. Could turn that Gears into a few GoBots thanks to the new head sculpt.

There was a discount on armada prime on amazon I missed, as well as tidal wave. Been waiting for either to go on sale and they slipped through my fingers again because once again in stock when no money ,discounted when no money, you get the picture. Ain't no reason armada prime should be 100 dollars msrp, especially with how watered down it is in features compared to the original. Tidal wave hasan excuse with being a titan but even then they cut out the engineering to just make it "oh you take him apart and put him back together in boat mode because we couldn't engineer it with modern articulation" while the original has modern articulation save for the knees and ankles YES I KNOW I RANTED ABOUT THIS FIVE TIMES BEFORE AAAUGH haha. fuck. Anyways...

Oh hey netflix bumblebee's being reissued in the color scheme people wanted him in from the start! I mean save for the arms being black instead of yellow. I like netflix bumblebee's glossy orange-yellow a bit better despite it not being 100% g1 accurate which is why i got him instead of the multipack one with the cliffjumper alt mode.Mine has a defect with the arm peg sadly where it won't stay in unless his backpacks plugged in so he can't use the funny car shield.

yeah after this was posted I glanced at ebay to see if it was worth flipping mine and there's not really much of a late tax

I'm glad he's not got a "value" for flipping or scalping because fuck that shit and fuck hasbro for reissuing the figure for 100 something dollars a few short years after initial release in different packaging. Always pissed me off as a kid though i already said that earlier in the thread. No not talking about the energon one that one was 50-ish too but it gets overcharged in fluctuatiing amounts like the other unicrons. OG armada/"universe/classics" unicron is the one that everyone fucking has and the one that's still decently affordable for anyone that wants one. You get a good used armada unicron you're set for a really solid christmas/birthday gift to anyone of any age that's into transformers. Heard the leg ratchets break on some copies but I don't know if that's the standard release or one of the reissues.

I've seen "value speculators" hawk the og release one a few times but it weirdly always goes back down in price unlike the other figures they've been hoarding. There just must be a shitload of them out there in the world to the point he will never let you down.

armada unicron just will always be the stand in de facto unicron untill they make a normal titan, that will be for a long time. it's not to complex, enough articulation for what it is and has no intrucive gimmicks. the haslab one just is to big and clunky.

i know cell is also an option, but i'm talking about retail here.

Transformers Devastation should be coming back to Steam along with the War and Fall of Cybertron games as both steam pages were updated a few months back as I mentioned before. It's likely why we're getting some Devastation figures.

Does anyone know of any lolcows within the Transformer's fandom? I have only managed to find one LARPer, but nothing more. To be honest, I must not have dug deep enough to find any remarkable user.

Forgive me if this is not the appropriate thread to post this question, I did not know where else to post it.​
