Which part of it isn't true? It's different from all other personality disorders because they don't have delusions. There's no hallucinations. It's different from other mental illnesses that could be controlled/effected with medication and is also not only resistant to therapy most of the time but actively harmful because it just teaches them to be better. There's no brain abnormalities. It doesn't prevent you from doing anything in the way OCD or even depression might. It doesn't create erratic, uncommon characteristics that wouldn't be seen normally outside of it.

You think it's a coincidence it's essentially a woman disorder? ALL the "symptoms" are just typical attributes of women cranked up to a 100. If BPD was a strongly male disorder it would almost have more legitimacy simply because ALL of the symptoms of it are so non-typical of the average male.
