Canada is a failed state

They are, in fact, actively looking to harass residents and have broken into cars, stolen packages, stolen bikes and more as their nearby encampment grows. The landlord seems to support this because she believes we all deserve to suffer if the homeless are suffering. However, she somehow managed to evade the suffering the homeless creates for others by just handing it to them point blank.

The neighbors really fucking hate her - they are actual home owners. She just picked the weakest link to bully because her neighbors hate her and she wanted to send a message to them. I've never seen someone so proud to have so much volitility around them.

Some of these bedrooms are smaller than prison cells.

I am impressed they found a house to divide with that many windows in the basement.
I know this is a PL, but I live in the area and noticed that many people are building basement windows into the houses in my neighborhood. There is no need to guess who are responsible for these renovations.

Native people I have known got enormous educational grants for university and multiple other benefits. They are privileged without question. Now the ones that live on reserves are worse off of course but those natives that live in cities and towns get considerable benefits and help. They even get rehab stays covered.
Yeah, from what I’ve seen there’s like a class of (basically white) natives who get off the res and do decently. Then there’s a huge strata of like 2/3s of natives who just life a life of squalor, incest and drinking drain cleaner. And then the native governing class. 5-10% who get paid very handsomely for lording it over the rest, live in luxury, give contracts to each other and get invited to Ottawa/provincial capitals every now and then to give the politicians a slight touch of legitimacy.
I don't think it will work for everyone but even if it had a 50% success rate, that's 50% less addicts. Hell, with what I see on a daily basis living in a downtown, even 25% would be something. I also think that you'll have about a year of ongoing retard deaths of the addicts released who immediately go back to getting high until its ingrained in the culture that it's basically a death wish to do it.
Won’t work.
You know what WILL work? Fixing the country and making Canada livable again.

I mean… Why the fuck would an addict decide to get clean?

Picture someone fresh and clean out of rehab, without the fog of narcotics.

Can he get a job? Not really. It’s either welfare or competing with third worlders for Tim Horton jobs that somehow are supposed to be above “minimum wage” but are basically subsidence wages with prices today.

Can he get a house? Lol no! Barely even an apartment. He will most likely get a basement room with some street shitter neighbors.

He’ll wander the streets, surrounded by soulless brown faces, and realize he has become a minority in his own country.

Buildings ruined, graffiti everywhere. The smell of weed wafting in the air. Wonder why it’s noon but the streets are crowded, filled with third worlders, the mentally ill and professionally unemployed.

Is it any wonder that so many check out and choose a life of a blissful narcotic high?

Canada's obsession with diversity is predicated on the luxury belief that immigration enriches our culture since we have no core identity.
This is SO fucking true.

Ask any a typical Canadian boomer about what makes Canada special or what’s uniquely Canadian, and they’ll say something like: “We have socialized healthcare!” or “We’re diverse!”.

The first is just a reflex comparison of Canada to the US, and an obvious admission of the lack of a national culture: “We’re indistinguishable from our massive neighbor, same slop. But we organize healthcare in a slightly different way!”

The “Muh diversity!” Answer is almost more retarded, because every first world nation has some percentage of shitskins as well. It’s also another admission of the lack of a Canadian culture/identity.

At least the older generation of Canadians had their ties to Britain and the Crown, pozzed as it was, to distinguish themselves.

But no- while I may criticize Ford
Met him one time. Super decent fucking fella.

I lived in Canada at the time. In this Somalian infested apartment building. He was our local counselor and actually came to hear what issues we were unhappy with locally.

Just a pol doing pol work, but he put in the work.

It's amazing that even what we call squalor is still better than living in India. I see no hope for the future unless their is a revolution because democracy lets idiots to have a voice and dissuade the conversation . Take for example most leftists will blame the housing crisis on landlords, or zoning laws, or lack of government money. If you bring up that immigration is the cause they will attack you. Just look at the city Reddits of Canada or Canadahousing. Truly vile people who purposely use scapegoat so that no one attacks their progressivism.

They all act like Doug Ford personally shits in their breakfast. It's cause of Doug Ford we don't have hospitals, housing or our infrastructure falling apart. I did uber in university and passed a homeless shelter. The leftist in my car started to blame Doug Ford from withholding funding. Well I told the cunt the housing isn't some sort of button you can press with more money. It takes time to build home and infrastructure. And even we could magically give everyone a home. We bring in 3 million every year again we will have homeless cause we can't build fast enough no matter how hard we try even with government support.

Also fuck that fat fuck Doug Ford as he also one of the causes of this pajeet invasion with allowing private colleges

Ok, powerlevel time! When I was visiting Helsinki, in my flight from London to Helsinki, a Canadian was in my next seat, and he woke me up, because he thought he threw ice from his drink to my bag. Long story short, we were even in the same hostel. He really liked me, and he decided after 6 months to come to Greece, because I didn't go to Canada.
Probably he was "neurospicy" of some short, he didn't like music or any other way to have fun, like amusement parks or ANYTHING (he probably wanted sex, but I didn't want to drink that glass).

Basically, in Vancouver everything is super expensive, and he wanted to live with his parents until his mid 40s. He also had a totally valid niece, oh sorry she was nonbinary, and he was always yapping about the native culture of Canada when he had like 1% of native blood.

I explained that I'd rather die than fucking him or going to live in Canada with his parents, and now he found an interesting way to hatecrime, he found a poor Mexican girl.

Do you think Canada's foreign reputation will ever catch up to the reality on the ground? If you talk to US progressives they think Canada is some sort of paradise with high wages and good healthcare and plentiful jobs, but it's actually a combination of Soviet tier central planning, foreign money laundering, failed healthcare, and infinity jeets competing to greet people at Walmart.
I think enough people from the US travel to Canada that word of mouth gets around eventually. It's particularly popular with college kids because of the lower drinking age. I have not been to Canada in ten years, and I wonder how different it is now.

The only good thing about these Indian slums is that the faulty wiring and fire code violations will eventually cause a disaster and lead to dead Pajeets.

The other issues is if the Fire Department intentionally doesn't put those fires out until AFTER it spreads and burns down the entire neighborhood, just so that the land can be snatched up for cheap and repurposed to make something EVEN MORE slum-like, and much worse.

Something I have been contemplating for the past few hours is, why does Justin Trudeau so jealously cling to power? He has already has increased his personal wealth to nine figures so he can hand the reins to some placeholder prime minister to take the fall like Mulroney did to Kim Campbell and fuck off to Costa Rica for a comfortable retirement. Any rational person with a sense of self-preservation would do that, but then I remember that Trudeau is anything but rational. I must remember that Trudeau was born into wealth and power so he doesn't look at it the same way someone with much humbler roots would. He stubbornly stays in place because he is a narcissist that built a delusion that no one slap from reality can snap him from.

Trudeau has to either believe that he is the most-important person in the room or associate himself with people of he sees of similar status like heads of state, royalty, celebrities, CEOs, etc. Being Prime Minister of Canada is the only way he can maintain that lifestyle because no one else would pay attention to himself otherwise. Similarly, he has no real marketable skills so it's not like he can do what his father, Mulroney, and Chretien did: return to law. Some token position at the UN will never satisfy him and I doubt that he will have the influence the Obamas have. Another aspect to consider is that his ego has grown to such monstrous proportions that he developed a messianic complex.

Let's look at his history: the people of Papineau (perhaps the safest Liberal seat in existence) elected him to Parliament in 2008 so some in the party were grooming him for some leadership role. 2011 comes, the Conservatives gain a majority and the Liberals under Michael Ignatieff fall for to third place in the party's history. Iggy resigns so the party looks to Justin as their only chance at salvation and elects him leader in 2013. 2015 comes and the Liberals sweep into power with a commanding majority. Young voters rejoice because he is a fresh face after nine years under the stodgy Stephen Harper, aging boomers treat him as the second coming, and stupid white women wet themselves as they scream his name.

He was the chosen one. Born to redeem Canada in the eyes of the world after the horrors inflicted the Harper Conservatives.

Justin has trouble grasping that it's not 2015 anymore. Most of the youth vote that carried them have grown disillusioned with him and those who have come of age under his government he the culmination of his policies where there is no future for him. Stalwart Liberal bastions such as downtown Toronto and Montreal are no longer certainties after the recent by-elections. Of course, Justin will never take responsibility for the dismal state his party and the nation are in. It's Pierre Poilievre and a resurgent Conservative party who are making Canadians angry! It can't be fiscal and immigration policy that has seen cost of living skyrocket along with crime and drug use.

It will be interesting to see where things will go until the next general election. Parliament is now deadlocked because the Liberals refuse to hand over unreacted documents concerning the SDTC scandal to the RCMP. The Bloc Quebecois threatens to topple the government and the NDP is not beholden to the LPC now that Pharmacare now has royal assent. Trudeau could prorogue parliament, but what's this? A group of Liberal MPs are demanding that he step down. Oh dear. Looks like everything has can go wrong, has gone wrong for him in the last year. All because he refuses to admit that he is not the messiah.

Don’t know about the rest of Canada, but Toronto has changed drastically for the worse.

Fifteen years ago it was a decent, livable place. Pretty cheap. Pretty clean.

Yeah, you had your skyscrapers in the downtown core, but take the subway like 3-4 stops and step into a side street and you’d be in a nice neighborhood with a suburban feel. Even Yonge street, the Main Street, was a nice quaint place if you got a little further than the immediate downtown. Toronto had a unique feel with its 2-3 story buildings. Not quite American. Not quite European.

Today though? Total shithole. No comparison.

The air is thick with noxious marijuana smoke. There’s so many homeless, druggies and mentally ill that nobody even notices when some hobo has meltdown.

Go into a fast food joint and there will be more homeless people begging for change than customers. (Not an exaggeration. Tried it myself. And at noon!) Sometimes the homeless will just camp in a McDonalds leaving all their bags and shit on some tables. Staff either doesn’t care or can’t do anything.

Third worlders EVERYWHERE. Take the subway? “Oh sorry, there will be a delay, there has been a stabbing, police has been called!” (Again, happened while I was there.)

Stores keep EVERYTHING, locked up or tied down to avoid theft.

Fucking condos going up everywhere too, but somehow nobody can afford them.

Quite often, it’s like walking around in a IRL GTA walking sim or dystopian near future flick.

When I was there I saw a BAREASS HOOKER waddle around, clear high as a kite and nobody raised an eyebrow.

It’s the good ol’ boiling frog. Change happen so gradually that few of the locals really notice, but if you come from the outside, especially if you know what it used to be like, it’s like WTF HAPPENED?! WHY ARE PEOPLE LIVING LIKE THIS?!?

That's such a stupid opinion. Harper was a good prime minister. He was boring, quiet, and did his job. He did good things for the middle class, like child tax credits (which Trudeau took away after imposing a bunch of stupid carbon taxes on everyone), so he wasn't the typical crony capitalist conservative boogeyman who wants to privatize health care and tax the middle class to death while giving big tax breaks his oil executive friends.
