The whole "I'm not gay anymore" is just a simplification. He's always gonna be an homosexual, he's trying to give up homosexual sex, the one thing gay men are required to do by the Catholic church to not live in sin. IICR, he's said he's failed already, which is something many gay people do at the beginning. The only option for gay Catholics is to simply take celibacy, which is the same thing the church expects single people to do until they get married. They still fail, they confess, start over. Honestly, all this "the church hates gays" is nonsense. They aren't demanded more than the rest of non-married Catholic folks. People who don't get married (either priests, nuns, or simply those who couldn't find anyone) are expected to don't have sex ever, and yes, some people do give up sex for ever as a vow of celibacy to the Church.

When I say respect, I don't mean reverence, but the kind of blank-slate respect one gives a stranger -- I lost all respect for the people I encountered in the DR sphere once I knew they were into this gay jewish shit; whether they were fooled or playing along to grift didn't matter. Either way, they are dead weight.

Chris is correct. The Catholic Church in particular is an excellent hiding place for people who are basically defective. We had a school principal, a nun, who hated the sound of children and so we weren't allowed to talk during lunch. Like dedicated liberals dedicated conservatives can be completely mental. In fact some people (like Glinner) swing from one extreme to the other during life.
