When I see the term Peddler I see a mix of the words Pedo and Fiddler. I would never fucking use that term referring to myself in a million years as it opens yourself up to way too easy ridicule and some very justified scrutiny. I know it means someone who peddles goods, in his case positivity, but the word just seems a MAP rub it in your face "code phrase".

This is why I’m so taken with Alyssa. She’s one of those girls who are entirely not okay being alone with their own thoughts.

It’s a quality I see in a lot of beauty parlor cows and lolcow.farm cows, these girls that just keep posting and posting. They will act in ways that make it obvious that they are reading their thread. They will subtweet about haters or stalkers or harassment but then still post every little bit of their lives for the whole world to see.

They never learn because a) they don’t want to and b) their livelihood and/or self esteem are so inextricably tied into their social media feed.

This woman radiates desperation from her every pore, it's like her entire existence is predicated on getting attention, bad or good it doesn't matter. She's like some imaginary creature that ceases to exist soon as nobody pays any mind to her. I'd imagine it must be absolutely exhausting living that way and with a normal person the only emotion I would feel is pity. However the fascinating part is how it's actually impossible to feel pity for her because she does her damnedest to be as off-putting and combative as possible and is seemingly incapable of accepting she's ever wrong about anything.

Maybe it's me getting older and mellowing out somewhat but I simply cannot muster up the energy to get mad at people who are this transparent in their lust for fame. Sure it's cloying and annoying but mostly it's just pathetic and sad. In the end she has not and will not achieve anything of consequence and will end up yet another casualty in the seemingly endless culture wars the west seems to be permanently engaged in.
