So went down a rabbit hole of The Apprentice reviews, the consensus seems to be that the acting is solid, the script is bland (and too referential), but there are some genuine heartfelt moments and both actors connect. I haven't seen many mentions of the rape, maybe it was downplayed or even removed in the theater cut? There's really no big discussion about it.

Everyone seems to agree that it humanizes Trump and makes you understand him. Some liberals seem to be actually scared of seeing him with pity, saying that they don't understand how he can be so humane if he's le Orange Hitler now. Of course, that's all propaganda. The movie probably did its research and actually got to show Trump as a three-dimensional person, even if it still wanted to make a point of an "anti-hero/villain origin story."

Everyone seems to agree that it doesn't say much politically and it tries to not offend anyone. As a Jew on Google reviews said:

If you despise trump you should see the movie, as perhaps it will help you to understand him a little more. If you are a MAGAt you should also see the movie, as it will likely reinforce your beliefs while providing some context.

A lot of people predict it won't be huge or win any awards because of how much it tries to be nice. Again, I'm guessing that this is all because the Trump the media presents is a literal cartoon, and you can't have such a cartoonish person as your movie's protagonist for two hours.

I may watch it, I really have no problem. I know Trump is an egomaniac, but I also know that he cares about the country. It's like hating Napoleon or Alexander the Great because of their personal beliefs of grandeur without taking into consideration their record as rulers of the world or the great things they accomplished. If I do watch it it'll be until late October, though, so my review might not be as relevant by then.

Two things in Trump's favor with Rogan is

1) RFK endorsed Trump, who Rogan has said is who he would vote for or prefer for president. To get pissy now would show that would also be fake.

2) Rogan is a follower, not a leader. Even in the world of podcasts he followed people like Carolla and Gervais. He sure got bigger than them, but he can't/won't lead when he's supposed to. And with Trump already doing great podcast interviews, to have Rogan turn around and be a pissy "Jamie pull that up" (while Jamie is a known liberal who deliberately plays dumb and obfuscates things to hide truths), it would blow up in Rogan's face.

Trump curse is real, maybe Rogan things his ayahuasca will protect him, it will not.

Not directly that I'm aware of, but indirectly the ATF is really having a hard time coming up with a new excuse to ban pistol braces. The ban was undone mostly over procedural issues, not even Bruen, though I think Bruen helped with some of the early injunctions against the rule

It doesn't help that they basically said "This has no effect on prior rulings" which means that we need new cases on everything rather than (easily) being able to crowbar the ruling into any ongoing litigation. It's going to be a few years most likely

I really hope it drives the price of bullets back where they belong now that the EPA can't indirectly ban the refinement of lead

True, being petty would hurt Rogan, but I also don't see that as a win for Trump. People disliking Joe =/= people liking Trump. IF Joe and Jamie are dicks about it, the best Trump can do is neutral. You need Joe AND Trump to show up with their A game for it to benefit Trump at all. I always figured the goal of all this was to endear Trump to Rogan's listeners, but according to the news cycle recently, men under 40 are already running to Trump in droves, and all without the intervention of Rogan.

It's also kind of old and drawn out now. People have been talking about Trump doing Rogan for almost a decade. It's well past the point of building hype and into the, "people are still talking about that shit?" phase. At least that's how I see it. I listen to Rogan once a month at best and it's when he has a guest on I want to hear.

If you want an interview that might really make a huge impact on voter sway, send J.D. Vance to the breakfast club with Charlemagne. They will not give a fair interview at all (see Vivek Ramaswamy) but it will help to bleed more young black men away from Kamala. I mostly want to hear JD trash the sheboon on the show about her military service. She BLASTED Vivek for having never served in the military when she sat on her fat black ass behind an air conditioned desk for a few years in the air force. That's really low hanging fruit for a Marine with a combat deployment.

The only reason Virginia currently has a Republican governor is because the previous Democrat governor tried making post-birth abortions legal.

Currently, every media outlet and real time fact-checker says the post-birth abortion bill in Virginia never existed, and it's never been legal.

This is another great example of a half truth. The bill was never passed, mostly due to voter backlash against the previous governor, but the attempt was made and got further than most legislation ever does.

If it often seems like they're at war with reality, it's because they are. The underlying promise of the Left project is the destruction of all bonds not continuously chosen. And they do mean all bonds, not just the big ones like historical tradition. Family ties, civic/personal virtue, fundamental human nature--all of it is in their crosshairs. To them, there is no history except for what is politically convenient in the moment.

There are no voters to chase by going on Rogan. At best apathetic people may vote who werent going too. Most of Rogans base support Trump and by all accounts Rogan hates Trump but knows going against Trump will hurt him with his base of fans.

Meanwhile Jamie is a hostile libshit who will try to fact check Trump and and Rogan will have immense pressure from people to be a shit tard to Trump and go on about January 6th and how Trump really lost the election and abortion is a womans choice. It will be a wet dream of soundbite clips and no time to counter them. There are no positive soundbites for Trump. Its all risk for little reward.

The person where an appearance could really positively impact is Kamala with her low men numbers. Rogan isnt a hard interviewer and Jamie will back up her "factual claims". If Rogan is agreeing to do Trump its a trojan horse for him to do Kamala and justify it to his base. Kamala will gain more for doing it than Trump.

The time traveling prophet told us Kamala would not be the first female prez, but I'm starting to doubt. Charlie Kirk could be right that America is just so far gone that she might actually win legitimately. If so it's the ballgame and we might as well start planning what part of Idaho to hide out in when everything starts collapsing.
