Trump being the republican candidate.

Say you're an independent voter, you don't participate in politics that much, you don't talk about it to your family, you're not registered with any party, the most you do is every 4 years you go and vote for whatever politician you feel is the most comfortable for you.

In other words, a pure moderate.

It's 2024, you are now given the two choices as to who you think should be president.

First choice, Harris, she is boring and milquetoast, all of her views are the bog-standard center-left Democrat talking points of the past 20 years, but she's safe and unassuming.

Then you see your second choice, Trump, and all you hear from him is THE HAITIANS ARE EATING THE DOGS, THE LEFT WANTS TO INDOCTRINATE YOUR KIDS WITH LGBT PROPAGANDA, and MIGRANTS ARE INVADING AMERICA (reasonable point btw),

Trump's talking points are inherently further to the right and is made to appeal with staunch conservatives first, and centrists second, while Harris is more comfortable for the politically unaffiliated.

That's why Trump is on a disadvantage versus Harris in a presidential election.
You might have a point if the vast majority of this country hasn't walked outside for the past 4 years to see an Ecuadorian cutting a bike lock, or a Venezuelan taking over an apartment building, or a Haitian eating a fucking dog.

Get real, dude. Migrants are actively doing unbelievable shit. We have plenty of our own criminals to deal with, what the fuck are we doing flying in more?

there was decent engagement on this vibrant cultural enrichment story so far today, I hope all the boomers share it around on their facebooks and get good and riled up and ready to drag their friends to the polls

The mythical enlightened centrist, the thing that honestly doesn't exist as a voting block in America and in reality and never has. Otherwise third parties would get more than 2-3 percent vote share if they were so ever present. Boogie wore this line of thinking out faster than the hydraulics on his gaming chair. The magical moderate vote was never the decider here in reality in the past decade, citizens competing with their votes being uncounted, opposing votes from their dead and the unwashed "No ID needed!" hordes voting to protect their bribe money is the reality.

That and the "Muh extremist orange man" falls apart when you contrast "These people are doing these things you can see with your eyes"
To the very loud actions of
"Fuck your storm victims choke on this $750 you can't claim currently, more money to forever infinity migrants"

Edit: Snipped out unnecessary ramble shit to focus.

I would agree with you that the biggest thing against Trump is that he's Trump. But that's the thing, its not in favor of Kamala, it's just against Trump. Of the people I've spoken to on Kamala, most just don't like her, leftist, rightist, or center. They also feel the hurt of the current economy, and have attributed it to either Biden, or Covid, which doesn't seem to inherently blame Trump. Kamala isn't "safe", when people are worried about paying rent, and the current vice-prezzo is the one claiming to want to make changes for good. Moderates don't seem to believe her.

I'm personally in the camp of "idk what will happen", but I in no way feel any strong swing for Kamala from moderates, not even close. I'd wager that many moderates are opting to not vote at all, rather than vote for Kamala.

ABC News be like: "Yeah, but that's only one incident."

And JD Vance be like: *Jim Halpert Mode: Activated*

New soyence in say he's Jewish. Not celebrating Columbus Day is literally another Holocaust.
Calling everything Jewish or LGBT is to get Right wing politispergs to reject history like how leftists reject history on the premise of whiteness.
Once they're done with Columbus they're coming for Leif Erikson.

Absentee ballot count in Michigan. Note that Detroit has returned 40% of its absentee ballots.

Remember that it's not about who votes, it's about who counts the votes.
If Trump really, honestly, and genuinely loses and there is no rigging, then this country frankly deserves everything it's going to get during the Harris Administration and beyond.

The only reason Virginia currently has a Republican governor is because the previous Democrat governor tried making post-birth abortions legal.

Currently, every media outlet and real time fact-checker says the post-birth abortion bill in Virginia never existed, and it's never been legal.

This is another great example of a half truth. The bill was never passed, mostly due to voter backlash against the previous governor, but the attempt was made and got further than most legislation ever does.
I never heard about the post-birth abortion shit, I thought the thing that did McAuliffe in was him trying to keep parents out of schools.
Which brings me to why I'm not a Rirginia believer (like ~5% not 30%) this time around. The main reason Youngkin was able to win in '21 was because of the hot-topic statewide issues - issues that don't exist now. Sure, it'll be close - and the early voting #'s look optimistic - but Trump will most likely not be able to win Virginia. Fortunately, he doesn't need to.
Any Virginia Kiwis can correct / educate me of course.

I think that tranny who raped a girl in the bathroom was on McAuliffe, too, and he tried to insist it was no big deal and then investigate the father of the girl for "terrorism." Covering for troons started blowing up in the left's faces around that time.
