As with many other aspects of munchism, this hypothetical reminds me a lot of proana circles and rehabs. There’s always a sense of one-upmanship and competition. Being placed in a support group when someone is still deep in the throes of the illness all but ensures they start competing with everyone else even if not outwardly obvious. They must be the thinnest littlest waif of the bunch, they must be the best at anorexia-ing. Your lowest weight was 90lbs? Well mine was 80! You needed a feeding tube for a day? I had one for a month! You’re not going to find a more toxic cesspool than those spaces.
I love that she’s conscious enough to censor God in text (something even most devout Jews don’t do anymore because the censoring doesn’t matter in English, only in Hebrew) but she was on twitter all day during Yom Kippur which is one of THE biggest sins of the holiday.

It doesn't even seem like poonerizing herself is the issue. It's the munchie shit - immobility, drug dependence, living in filth and so forth. "He only cares about my ability to walk." I doubt he's happy about his daughter turning herself into a fat, bald, acne-ridden hobbit, but if he were giving her a hard time about it I can't imagine she'd miss the chance to add that to his list of sins.
Based on what she‘s said here, and previously about fleeing Florida, I wonder if she was in treatment there but left AMA to come back to NYC. Either just for drugs or for drugs plus munching and other psych issues. She’s mentioned that her phone use was restricted, they took “residents” on outings, and her dad has a pretty solid line of refusing to budge on enabling her (a tactic often suggested to the parents of adult patients). Dad may already be on the hook for paying for treatment, and is sure as hell not paying for a Manhattan apartment for his still-munching pooner daughter.

Dad doesn’t want to enable her disease faking and leech behavior so he’s at fault for the family falling apart. Vicky is usually just enjoyable to laugh at but when she goes mask off narcissistic rage it makes me genuinely angry and sad for everyone who has to deal with such a waste of oxygen.
If instead she was a crack addict who'd turned her last apartment into a crack den and he'd had to sort out the mess left. Then she was asking for a new crack den plus money for her daily fix, it would be so obviously enabling if he gave it to her. If anything, she's attempting to coerce him into participating in her self harm.
I don’t blame her for needing a parent guarantor in NYC, because most young people don’t make enough eliminate the need for one. She should still pay her own darn way, though.
