Bit late on this but Bill "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Clinton states America needs mass immigration because we got the lowest birth in over 100 years. Going to go on a bit of a rant here but I thought the 1965 immigration act was suppose to solve this issue? It's been 60 years since that act was passed and if these people are still complaining about a negative population then this shows the failure of the policy. I would also like to ask a leftist what's going to happen when these countries start having negative populations. Where are they going to get migrants from? This goes to show you that mass migration doesn't solve the issue that many democrats keep claiming it does.

Was helping my mom at her house and I brought in her mail. There were two absentee ballots, one for her and one for my dad. My mom's currently hobbling around with a cane because of recent hip surgery, so understandable for her.

For my old man, though, he's been dead for 2 years. Well, then.

China doesnt have a ponzi scheme style retirement program that is foundational to their nations stability and the low birth rate fucks them in other ways. They also dont have any restrictions on taxing and taking from automation capital to make up for reduction in human taxation vs automation.

The country that figures out a scalable and good enough model to tax ai and other forms of automation will have a big advantage.

A similar thing happened here. Legalizing marijuana would create jobs and the resulting taxes would better fund schools, help fix the roads, and do all sorts of good. Spoiler: If it's happening in my part of Kiwi Land, it's happening on a much smaller scale than envisioned.

It does fund all of those things, but politicians just cut that same amount from what they would have otherwise spent out of the usual budget. I saw this data posted. If this is true then notice how they aren't stating the same in Latin American countries. This also goes back to what I said, if Latin American countries also have a negative birth rate then where the hell are they going to find immigrants to import from? Africa?
