The Peter Singer shit didn't make much sense to me either, but I will excerpt it here so others can take a crack at it.
[snip peter singer rant]
I haven't read him either, but honestly he sounds pretty logical? Anyone who has read the Tard Baby thread here would probably be on board with Euthanasia for severely disabled infants/children, and it should be required reading for anyone who thinks otherwise.
A certain amount of Utilitarianism is necessary for a society to thrive, and no it doesn't always mean that one person will immensely suffer or whatever she said there. You aren't the basement child in "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas." Everyone experiences inconveniences from other people constantly, but we also experience moments of kindness. Get the fuck over yourself.
You know, between this and all her talk about advocacy… Victoria really fetishizes disability, doesn’t she? I don’t mean that in a sexual sense, just that there's something she finds very, very desirable about the label "disabled", beyond mere lazy malingering. Like it’s some state of holiness to aspire to where she can take up advocacy as a sort of crusade, and convert people like her sister into the way of the Disabled.
All that attention she got for being a depressed and anxious teenager really lit some sort of weird fuse there
My personal theory is that her parents, despite being wealthy, we're attempting to raise Vicky right by not just handing out cash. Sure, they'd pay top dollar for education and medical stuff, but they maybe had the audacity to expect Vicky to make her own way in the world. After a while, she realized that Bank of Mom and Dad only dispensed cash for things like therapy and residential treatments so she leaned into it hard. Figured they couldn't say no to their poor, disabled daughter.
Now she's dug in too deep to admit defeat and get her life together. As she's said, her entire personality is now based on being disabled and it's all she can talk about. While her Dad is right to say NO, she probably really has such learned helplessness that it's out of the realm of her thought processes to go "you know, I should just knock it off already."
She's so fuuuuuucked. What an exciting time to be a Farmer.

@Jupiter Doughnuts - sounds like we've both found that thread very educational.
