Edward has been banned from many forums going back to at least 2008. I think he is for the most part telling the truth about at least half of his claims, based on evidence provided. I do believe that:

• He has been writing C for many years.
• He has been fixated and trading forex for many years.
• He has been writing trading bots for some time.
• I believe he did some sophisticated work back in his early years.
• I think his acerbic personality reduced his opportunities.
• He has an interesting mind with interesting ideas.
• He has been abused in his long life, which may explain his negative reactions to positive interactions.
• He hasn't cracked the formula to get himself the Nobel Prize as of yet.
• He belongs here, as long as he can behave, and not get a ban.

Edward, it upsets me that you are living in your car, as I think all Americans should have some level of shelter, but I'm not an American so what do I know.

Should we create another thread for non-trade discussion? We could have a thread for your trades and a thread for Edward. We could even make another thread for trading shitposting so we can keep it all separated.

I write this because it would be a shame if you don't stay.

Tradecode is a very interesting individual. He has been kicked out of many other online forums and this may be his last port of call. Or perhaps he is on the verge of a breakthrough trading strategy?

I think you’re being very charitable, and I too would like to see him stay.

However, you have to be careful that people like this are often abusers too, and even if not, are likely to be un-helpable, just like most people living on the street, there’s a reason they ended up there.

They don’t help themselves, they want others to help, and will squander anything they get.
The warning signs are there with Edward in the way he talks about women, the fact he’s been in prison and even the fact he’s been booted off of numerous forums. The “treat em mean” strategy he’s using here does tie in.

Just to add my own “bar drifter” story, I used to be on various forums about technical topics, and once or twice a slightly eccentric inventor would come along. He’d have invented a new motor or such that promised to produce more power out than it used, and he’d had it working and would explain with a lot of detail and photos of gauges and measurements and what have you to back it up. Maybe the guy was sure he had something, or had convinced himself, or maybe he was just a conman.
Obviously, “over unity” or free energy is not possible. I know this, I have a STEM degree and common sense, and so did most people on these forums. But he’d still get traction because enough people were taken in by it or at least wanted him to try to prove it and admit he was wrong.

Now these guys would always have a bit of a cult of personality about them, and as they got closer and closer to breakthrough and demonstrating that their invention worked, various calamities would beset them, just terrible luck. Those in the inner circle would then offer or be solicited to help out with a donation to the cause.
Of course, it would never work out, or there would be an unconvincing and fake demo, followed by disappearance.

Trading forums certainly will have gullible marks who want to make a fast buck, they will also have people who would fuck you over and steal your work for a dime, both could be true.
