Little update since I can't figure out how to edit a post, after this Nanaki has decided to abandon his xitter and moved on to bluesky, a website that allows you to monitor what replies show up under your posts.

I have no clue, I'm more puzzled by people in the Snoot community who wanna be friends with him. I've talked with people who have tried to his friend, giving him games on Steam or letting him be in their small friend servers. Maybe they just wanna touch the cow, but it's still weird. The dev stuff is likely because they're 4channers and thats the evil nazi chud website, but for the game its because having a character who is an alphabet person becoming 'normal' again is completely counter to trans ideology which is why they'll attack it.
