If trucks are driving to the border loaded up with deportees, will there be Democrat supporters who hide some in attics, Anne Frank style? I could see that. Not sure it would end well.
No, because most of them are ultimately NIMBYists.

Even the little trust fund baby dangerhair footsoldiers.

That's not a fair comparison. The media back then were on bush bandwagon.
lol they absolutely were not on the Bush bandwagon. Granted, that election happened before I was old enough to vote, but my mom was heavily invested in politics and so I remember the 2000 Election vividly.

The media, while definitely more biased even back then, were a lot less horrible than what we see today. Polls back then were actually accurate.

The 2000 Election polls showed that the Bush v. Gore matchup was a tossup right up until Election Day, and that turned out being painstakingly true.

"Some washed-up professional wrestler"
And somehow they still wonder why they're failing to appeal to young men. The Undertaker is a fucking icon to the Millennial-Old Zoomer demographics.
for a couple of decades "Undertaker at Wrestlemania" was considered by pop culture to be an unstoppable force on par with "Jackie Chan in a ladder factory holding a baby and he don't want no trouble"
I ate out a -lot-
so seed oil and other processed shit, yeah
my brother, I hate to tell you this but TV Tropes has been mentally retarded for over a decade now. They were already going downhill when I was frequenting that site around that time and it's only gotten worse.
it was always retarded
I've seen stupid jokes that I've been a core part of that were NEVER presented as a real thing regurgitated there as TOTALLY REAL TROPE, like not just a humbug scam like a Fiji Mermaid or Jace Conners or Bat Boy, like straight up "this is a joke" on the label and "DAHHH oKAY REAL THING IS REAL"
I'm gonna say it:

His best role was the Joker, and he's the definitive animated voice for the character.

Makes sense he was born to play a mentally ill clown.
Hamill got into a car wreck that fucked up his face

he was a star, he was THE star, the prettiest guy in hollywood, gonna be the biggest thing

The big problem is the g*dd*mn motherscratching Catholic church. Those a-holes will throw every US citizen under the bus to protect their precious Third World garbage.

Oh, and of course the filthy oven-dodgers who are absolutely determined to flood every white western nation with human garbage from the turd world.

You are both correct.

The media was knives out for George W. Bush in the 2000 election and, for the first year of GWB's presidency, they bitched and moaned that Jeb (who was governor of Florida at the time) helped GWB steal the election. Then it was shitting on GWB for not doing enough, or doing too much. It was ticky tack, sore loser shit.

Then 9/11 happened and the media gave GWB very good press for about 2 years, until the invasion of Iraq. After that, media coverage was back to business - GWB is a war criminal GWB is stupid, GWB hates black people, GWB is Hitler, and so on. Towards the end of his second term, the media was softer on GWB because they are usually softer on outgoing 2-term presidents.

If Trump wins, he better damn well be true to his word about deporting ALL of the filthy illegals. Having over 40 million of them (there were many millions in the country before Paedo Biden showed up) squatting in the US is a guaranteed recipe for national suicide.

Why the fuck do they keep sheltering them in fucking schools?

The media was knives out for Trump
they ALWAYS were
Trump has always been the punchline to Evil Rich Guy
there's MST3k episodes from literally the EIGHTIES that have "lol trump is rich amirite" as the entire joke

edit- I'm not sure what there is to disagree with, here's exactly an example recorded in 1989, first aired early 1990

The fact that Joe fucking Rogan has become some kind of kingmaker and THE premiere voice in modern media proves that we're on the Idiocracy timeline.
That's not Joe Rogan's fault, nor is it the people who listen to him's fault.

Blame the corporate news media for abandoning investigative journalism and becoming nothing more than mouthpieces for propaganda.

Joe Rogan at least broadcasts conversations from all perspectives.

No Republican has won the presidency since Arizona became a state, without winning that state.

With Meghan McCain's batsignal that she will air dirty laundry about Kamala if Democrat talking heads don't shut up about her dad, that let them know that her mother (Cindy McCain) is not going to oppose Trump.

The McCains command 5 whole points of Arizona vote since they are the social top of the Defense Contractor and Trophy Wife pyramid in that state.

So Arizona is a lock for Trump.

The Abrams wave died in Georgia and this time Trump is polling well there. Not outside MOE most of the time, but good enough to say GA is a lock.

With those two states, Trump has been polling super well in Nevada all summer. He may actually flip it back. IF that happens, PA or NC wins the White House. And NC is looking mighty good.

In person voting is already in progress in FL and TX and yesterday's first-day in-person was so swamped hard for Trump (R+17 in Palm Beach!), and in Texas lines were going outside some rural polling places, it's looking very, very good.

So will Trump's appearance be a wash? I don't think it will change the tide one way or another. But I think it will be a useless endeavor if Jamie is there, correcting Trump all the time.

Can't wait for I35 in Austin to be shut the fuck down because of the convoy. Thanks Trump.
GWB hates black people
I only remember Kanye saying that. The media might have implied it. But I wasn't paying too much attention to the media during my teen years.

Polymarket
Not to doompost but those are betting odds, not poll numbers or turnout data. I have to tell myself that even though I like where the direction is going.

Edit: I do think the betting markets will have a bigger impact since this is the first election where people can put real money on the race so its not a completely broken metric.

I was playing Battlefield 2 when Kanye West said that and everyone in the server stopped for a second to comment about it. The only other time I saw something like this happen was when Janet Jackson's tit popped out in the Super Bowl while I was playing Diablo II. Battle.net fucking exploded when that happened.
