I wonder how much Dems are regretting that last minute switch to Kamala? Yeah, she’s younger than Biden, but that’s about the only upside. She has no charisma, can’t speak without a teleprompter/lots of notes, and isn’t upfront about any real policy, so even other Dems are unsure of what she actually supports. I’m thinking that if they stuck it through with Biden, they would be in a better spot right now.
I'm starting to believe the theory that they knew they were cooked this time around anyway and decided to sacrifice their dumbest member to appease jackass Clooney and the other heavy hitters. Apparently the economy is due for a major collapse sometime next year, and they'll be able to pin it on Orange Man, so everything works out for them in the end.

They did it because Kamala was conveniently enough of a minority that it would entice Dem voters in 2020 (and this was peak BLM).

Biden was the establishment choice because he would do as he was told, and overall had the look and demeanor believed to appeal to moderates. Only big problem was Biden’s obvious cognitive decline, but the media spent so much time gaslighting the public on how bad it actually was. Then they weren’t able to pretend after his awful debate performance, so Kamala was thrown into the spotlight. It would’ve looked bad for the Dems to not choose Biden’s VP, as a VP is meant to take the place of the president when a president is unfit to govern.

That said, a better solution would have been for Biden to not run for reelection as a whole, and for him to either pass the torch to Kamala in early 2023, or allow for another primary with new candidates to choose from long before the election. Instead, it was all incredibly hasty, and so even if Kamala had the most ideal campaign, she was set up to fail because the establishment gave her way too little time to form a strong case for her presidency.
Yup, you summed it up perfectly.

I believe that the original "plan" that was made way back in 2019 was for Biden to only serve one term to prep the public for a candidate like Harris.

... But I think that the Biden family had other plans ... And now we're here. lol.

I've seen some early voting results in pennsylvania and it seems like the numbers are trending significantly better than last year.
What sites are you guys looking at. Betting odds are a complete blowout and generally biased sites like 538 are dead even. Does anyone else have any hard data for early voting results/trends?
edit: added early voting tracker but not terribly useful without having some frame of reference from previous elections

It's a blowout for Trump in Pennsylvania. It looks like early voting is going to look like 33-35% republican. That's not enough to power through 20+ ED voters for Trump.

Yeah, I imagine that’s the main reason. I have similar issues with finding good news sources for countries outside the US sometimes as well, which is why I have a healthy degree of skepticism with it. I’ll like some foreign politicians for their policy with the US, but that doesn’t mean the domestic policy they have is good.
If it's any comfort we've just had a recent one with that in the UK with the media lying to everyone anyone about some innocent fellow who was just trying to murder the police with his car when they unfairly tried to kill him. Now it turns out that murder is not a one-off thing for him and every outlet pumping out that bullshit almost certainly knew.

Or them and their entire fuckign familes should be trotted out in show trials when/if Trump wins. Fuck it, at this point need McCarthy hearings 2.0, with the death penalty as the sole punishment. If you were found to be doing commie/marxist shit, you should be put to death. Only after the trials though, only after the "fairness" being what Rudy and Alex got. After full and "fair" trial, i want you put to death, in glorious 4k.. put it on PPV, make a few bucks, why not.
Accidental self-fulfilling civil war holocaust has to be the rarest timeline.

I honestly don't know. Biden's numbers cratered after that debate performance
Biden's numbers cratered because the media was told to crater them. If they held the line like they do with Kamala, it would have just been a mediocre debate performance. It was their out to switch the candidate while saving face. Biden performed just as well as anyone observant of him would have expected him to and the media would have had just as easy a time to sweep it up for him as they always have had. But this time, they were told to spike it for him.

They are really regretting the bullet missed.

Dipshit eh Walz? More of that joy?

Oh, the joy is most definitely gone. He sounds really angry that he even has to be there.

"Trump's buying an election here!" Is this all they've got now? That's it? This is a last gasp for air if I've ever seen one. Newsflash: every politician "buys" their elections ... It's called financing your campaign to get your name out there, ya knucklehead.

Also, it's really rich for this horse cum guzzler to be calling someone else a dipshit when all he does when pressured with questions is name drop Taylor Swift and show off his incredibly faggy friendship bracelet.

I early voted yesterday for the first time in my life. I have always been against early voting on principle as the Constitution indicates one day that voting should occur. If you are unable to make it that day you either vote absentee or miss out. Voting for weeks on end has always been appalling to me.

This time however I was worried about some "incident" happening on Election Day and did not want to risk it. Early voting it is, this time. Felt good to vote for Trump three consecutive times now.

I think that the betting markets are fun to look at, but I feel like it's being taken way too seriously this election cycle.
Maybe, but they are better moment-to-moment snapshot since they're so reactive and 24/7, unlike polls which are usually only up to the day before the morning they're posted.
