Trump being funny is great and all, but you shouldn't vote for a president if you admittedly know nothing about them. Nor can I imagine wanting to vote if you know nothing about them, if you actually want to vote you should be more informed what you are voting for.
Well, for alot of people (especially when he hit in 2016) Trump was the biggest middle finger to the political and media establishment that you could get. For the run over, forgotten, mocked, and lost people of the US that was enough.

Now we find out the dude that is the biggest middle finger to the people that hate us turns out he is a pretty funny dude that actually likes the common man.

The fact that he actually wants the best for the US is kind of a driving factor for support.

Harris-Walz would be an absolute disaster not just for the US but the world. No one will take Harris seriously and she does not have the guile to make them take her seriously.

I have spent a fair amount of time trying to reason with people who are washy Dems or undecided to vote for Trump just because of how bad Harris-Walz would be. The worst part is always having to overcome outright lies that have been told about Trump. The media and censoring of social media really did a number on people.

If your only winning issue is murdering babies you are not good for anyone.

The UK at least a dozen times installed a monarch who quite literally appeared out of nowhere.

The most brazen case was George I of Great Britain. He was something like 52nd or something down the order of succession after Anne of Great Britain died childless.

Monarchy is based: no pandering, no fake lies, no bullshit underhanded lobbying, appointed by God, their head is literally on the line to do a great job.

Yeah but that's a more nuanced take than the person I was initially saying this to, who claimed that they were all but undecided on who to vote for and are only leaning Trump because he's funny, which is just too unrealistic for me to accept. The difference between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump is so clear that if you can't really decide who you think is more trustworthy you probably shouldn't vote ever.

It always goes back to that play that was a a re-enactment of the first Trump vs Hilary debate but it was gender swapped. Female Trump came off like a ball busting but well meaning school principle that really did want you to be your best while dude Hilary was like a even more fake Newrooms (and creepy as fuck).

Trump understands that the way to get a bigger slice of the pie is to make the pie bigger for EVERYONE, even those that get the crumbs.

It's why fundamentally I found it to be a mass delusion that Trump would even want to be some sort of dictator. He's been a fucking capitalist his whole life. Why the fuck would he want to change that now?

Monarchies have too many downsides that overshadow the plusses they bring to society.

The lying and lobbying is turned in the other direction (away from the people in a republic, and back at the court in a monarchy), so a king deals with a constant headache of cutting through the lies. Not something an imbecile is good at. And it's not exactly a skill that a college can easily drill into a person either. So if you don't have a good bullshit detector you better find someone who is.

The founders biggest headache with monarchies is that a legislature conveniently hides behind the monarch whenever they want to. It's a sicker form of CYA. Complain in the wrong way, and you're a traitorous rebel, not a protester. And it better not be in an issue where the monarch has taken a deep personal stake on the wrong side of that issue (English Civil War, and the Bishops War were the aristocracy actually slashed each others throats over whether there should be bishops in a church... since bishops had a political role in domestic policy).

The UK's current situation is based on over 1000 years of political settlements and compromises, so the US founders did certainly agree that the political setup in Britain was "cluttered", hence why the USA system is so vastly different.

Mexico's conservatives clutched on to the idea of monarchy as well but gave that up after they assassinated the discount Hapsburg they imported in. Greece did the same.

Euroswine have no idea how awful Democrats are domestically, and only pay attention to their foreign policy (which in my opinion is slightly better than the domestic policy). They fall for the same media that calls Trump “the next Hitler,” and it’s frustrating. It’s why I have a hard time taking Euroswine seriously when they talk about American politics. They get mad when Americans are ignorant of their country’s politics, yet they think they know everything about the US.
It's also because they think having an accent makes them smarter

No thanks, we already have decadent, nepotistic inbreds lording over us. Only rarely does it result in an Aragorn or a David.

If he had run as a democrat they would have swung off his nuts and thanked him for the opportunity but it was her turn and he ran GOP instead which was the greatest offense because it showed how far left they had gone. It showed that the party has shifted so drastically a man who was a democrat his entire life was now more aligned with the right.
