Lolicons constantly bringing up the Jack Thompson makes me wonder if the man actually had a point.
His main argument was that kids shouldn't have easy access to violent media (which so happened to be video games at the time), and was concerned about how many adult games were subtly being marketed towards children.

While Jack Thompson was genuinely an idiot (and if I'm not mistaken, a registered Democrat who voted for Biden), I think a problem for a lot of more level-headed conservatives and religionists was just that, they weren't good at articulating those points.
A lot of them are simply too far behind and have a lot of difficulty in even comprehending what they're up against.
A lot of them made the mistake of arguing on their opponents' terms, or trying to appease their opponents.
A lot of them were woefully outnumbered (partially thanks to manufactured consent) and had to stand their ground in a room full of liberals/leftists/secularists/atheists, and thus get destroyed through sheer volume and being laughed out of the room, not because they actually had bad points, not because their opponents had good points.
@WelperHelper99 also brought up the point about people arguing against lolicon in a room full of degenerates who are OK with that crap, and getting destroyed that way.

That's always been the problem. If you're outnumbered when arguing against lolicon or sexual deviancy in general, you will get swamped and hammered, and will lose. Lolicons are VERY protective of their little girls getting fucked- because they know it's shameful and want to shut you down immediately.
What's the counter? Honestly you need to bring friends if you are engaging in debate. They sure as fuck are. Don't let them determine the battlefield. You must act as one, the crew of a mighty warship, and hammer them back with equal ferocity. They aren't used to that. They will crumble. That's the really only way I see you preventing getting swamped.

Swarm tactics won't work on dissuading them from their deviant drives, it'll only work on driving them out of wherever it is they got swarmed. What could work is cognitive behavioral therapy but that usually requires the subject of such a thing to be willing.
They already know what they're into is immoral. They already know that most people are absolutely disgusted by their interests. A couple, or even many, dissenting voices aren't going to be enough to change their mind on the subject.
The best way to get them off of it would be for the content to be completely illegal.....actually, no, even then they'd probably still consume it.

Therapy is for fixing it. Swarm tactics is for winning a public argument and making a case in public. Two different things we're talking about. Currently they have mastered the zerg rush. It's why they can talk about Lolicon publicly and not get banned. They control the arguments.

The only thing that curbs them is when they hornypost too damn much on main, then that usually gets them a report flood and a ban. However, nothing ever stops them from hopping on alts.
Of course, that isn't solely a problem with just lolicons. People have abusing the hell out of socking/making alts on Twitter since forever.

Winning a argument is still a victory. A account ban isn't always necessary. Not his thread but take Rev says desu. He uses his horde of followers to dogpile anyone who calls him out. He "wins" through sheer numbers. And because he isn't stupid (only nice thing i'll say about him) he never hornypost's on main enough to cop a ban. He, and lolicons with similar intelligence, in effect are invincible to report floods because there is nothing to report. They don't post the bad shit on main.
The only thing you can do at that point is argue against them. And to win in that scenario, because you ARE going against socks, you do need backup. They aren't used to fighting against similar numbers. Otherwise you are going against 1 on 10.

This is starting to sound a lot like just internet slapfighting at this point, and anyone can do that. It's a self-perpetuating cycle.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for pointing out their bullshit, making fun of them, and ego-checking them thoroughly, but they thrive off of internet arguments like most people who are terminally online. I'm not sure what good that really accomplishes in the long run.

Lolicons used to be relegated to 4chan and other anonymous imageboards for the most part, now there's people who post lolishit on mainstream social media under their real names

Its about countering their arguments. The only reason they have been to spread so efficently through EVERY social media platform is because they have set the battlefield in their favor. How many times have you heard lolicon is free speech? Its because nobody countered them. Those that did got destroyed. Got branded as tourists. If they are to be countered their tactics need to be understood and countermeasures developed. Or else they will keep winning like they have been for decades. Every single one of their arguments MUST be broken down, studied, and a counter developed.

Yeah? They spam it in internet slapfights all the time. Which is why it's also easy to get them banned and resorting to alts and socking because they'll eventually drop the publicly "forbidden" vulgarities if you go at them for, like... 2 or 3 more back-and-forths.
I'm not proposing ignoring them. I'm just saying, slapfighting with them on social media doesn't accomplish anything because they thrive off of that. This sort of thing just self-perpetuates. Often, you have to go one step further and out who they are in-person in order to publicly shame them to any sufficient extent, but even then, they usually just retreat further into the internet and lay low while still indulging themselves.
There is no good solution for it. Absolutely keep holding them to account for themselves, but don't expect some kind of ultimate victory out of it.
I mean, that's only effective at getting them to drop all pretense and instead resort to spamming smug anime girl image macros and repetitive ad hominem once you back them into a corner.
These people are not intellectuals. That's part of how their "zerg rush" works. When all else fails, shitpost and spam. They don't care, and everyone who already thinks that they're pedos using an excuse will still continue thinking they're pedos using excuses. Only the dumb and impressionable, or people trying to hide skeletons in their own closets, flock behind them.

I mean I consider shitting and farting as they flail a win. Its better than them claiming victory. Everyone at that point in this hypothetical can now see they are a freak. Really I muse this due to seeing it in action numerous times on multiple sites, sometimes even on the farms. You don't have to seek it out for the lolicons to eventually come to you. Once this thread goes live, i fully expect them to rush this thread.
Hense I think about this. There must be a rock to their paper. Something that does cause them to go to spam mode and rage quit. Countering their arguments, debating in numbers, all of this is how i can see causing that outcome of absolute tard rage.

The one factor I don't see get much credit outside of outright molestation is other forms of early sexualization that lead to porn addiction and hypersexuality. Similar to the kinds of things that form into a fetish or other paraphilias. I think lolisho, and cub and a few other related things, are symptoms of that and the porn addiction is just the manifestation of it.
More on that because while I've seen a few threads about it years ago, I haven't seen much mention of it here outside of zoomerlinneals growing up with internet porn. There are things outside of clear CSA: negligence, early exposure to sexual concepts, second or thirdhand CSA exposure, aforementioned internet porn, normative experiences that got weird or went wrong, other abuse; that lead to hypersexual behavior. It's more like cPTSD and bad coping mechanisms in response to vague and persistent traumas than an outright defined disorder.
Edit: I'm going to outright say it's because moving from a low resolution, 8bit sexuality to a high resolution one cements it as a frame of reference that is "normal", especially absent of any clear and direct abuse. This also moves it out of early childhood and can place it anywhere in adolescence and saves a lot of paperwork. Once you hear the distinction between "we didn't know what we were doing" and "I knew exactly what I was doing" in enough anonymous internet anecdotes, it becomes pretty clear that sexuality is more about resolution, clarity, and focus than an on/off thing. It also explains why so many people don't end up fucked up given comparatively similar situations.

The discourse really has stayed stagnant since lolicons first hit the image boards way back when. "It's not a child" "it's just a drawing" "it's fiction". For decades have they repeated this mantra mindlessly. And its worked mostly. It shuts down discussion basically every time.
What I suggest is a new vector of attack. New counters, and not only that, but new points. Most of them aren't smart. You can cause their fuses to blow. In effect force them to sperg when confronted with questions that they have no answer to. That will cripple their movement.
